Based on a report we've received, BBB has reason to believe this entity
is not legitimate. The person who made the report alleges the company,
supposedly acting as a third party shipper, requested payment for
transportation of a pet the consumer purchased online. Upon receipt of
that payment, the company then sought additional payment for previously
undisclosed fees - a hallmark of pet scams. The customer never received
their pet.

The BBB offers the following tips to avoid scams when you're looking to adopt or transport a pet:

* Beware of online or classified ads with multiple misspellings and/or
grammatical errors. Many pet scams originate overseas, particularly
Africa, so scammers usually do not have a good grasp of the English
language.
* Don't be fooled by a well-designed website. Scammers can easily steal
images and details from pet postings off the websites of legitimate breeders. Always research companies at BBB.org.
* Watch out for requests to wire money. This is usually a sign you're dealing with a scammer.
* Be leery of classified ads that promise cheap or free pets for
adoption. These offers sound good, until the scammers tell you your pet
is at the airport but you'll have to pay unexpected fees to continue the
adoption process. The fees continue to mount and people eventually
discover these offers were not legitimate.
* Watch out for requests to wire money to third party shippers. In many situations involving fraudulent pet selling websites, scammers will refer victims to these so-called transport firms. In reality, it's just another means through which they extract more money from victims.
