      Unclean, unprofessional & unsafe. 1 star since 0 isnt an option.First, the package room. It is terrible. Youre told you need to spend $20 to create an account for their ************** locker system, which we did. We have had FIVE packages stolen, none of which were in the system we are paying for. The secure doors are constantly held open with any object that people can find. Residents and vendors often take the landscaping rocks to hold open the door. Why do we pay for a secure building when it is always open?Getting a hold of someone in the office is not going to happen. You can try calling Avanas main number and itll bring you to people at a call center or representatives working from home but you wont actually talk to anyone in the office. Try emailing incessantly and walking down to the office and MAYBE someone will get back to you in a timely fashion.There is black mold underneath and behind our toilet. They came and sprayed something on it, it went away and came back orange and now its black again. They tested my apartment for mold and found nothing..hmmm.Your rent is one thing. Youll pay your rent plus you will pay for common area electric, gas, trash, water, sewer, pest and the billing system they use. Since we have moved in, this is anywhere from $150 to $200 more per month. Youll also pay your own electric bill on top of that.Most of our neighbors have moved out, with the same, if not worse, complaints that we have. We have emailed the property manager (we are on the third property manager since we have moved in in February) multiple times, have called and have contacted corporate.Theyre going to close this complaint and say that theyve handled it with me directly and yet, here we are. Save yourself and go elsewhere. It seems too good to be true to get a property for the price they advertise, it is! Youre not getting what you pay for and youre going to be severely disappointed.

      I was denied from this apartment and was unaware that the deposit would take 21 days for them to send me a check. When I spoke to Greystar, the company that sent me the denial what the status is of my check as I have only received $250 of the $450 i should be receiving. They are taking advantage of honest people looking for a place to live. Their call center is a joke and they leave imaginary messages for someone in the office to return your call that they never do. Where are the authorities to be the voice for the people who are being taken advantage of? Please be ***** of property management that is not in the same state as the property and requires deposit in debit card but returns with a check.

      This company has been a horrendous experience. I cannot contact the main leasing office and instead am directed only to a call center with a guarantee that the main office will call back. In the 4-5 times I have done this, I have NOT ONCE received a call back. I have seen erroneous bill charges since they took over this apartment complex, and have received my refunded deposits back well past the 21 day period, and it was short $64.50 with no explanation of why. There was NO damage to my apartment when I left. Their customer service and integrity are abysmal.
