In February of this year, I called Roto-Rooter to unclog the bathroom drains for me. They sent someone out right away- ** ******, because he had a cancellation. He originally quoted me around $450, then increased it to $780 when he decided he would have to level the piping outside. He partially unclogged the drain, left in the middle of his work, with the doors to the back of the van flying open. He uttered no word to me about why he was leaving. About 45 minutes later, he returned, and went up on the roof. After being at home all day, waiting around 3-4 hours for him to do this, he finally was done. Then claimed he would have to add "a couple more hundred bucks to the bill since he had to do some extra work." I told him that he KNEW that was not right or fair to me. He should have communicated the extra fees BEFORE he went up to the roof to do the work. He did finally complete the work, but his customer service was awful. He was extremely rude and unhelpful, and I felt that he was dishonest about the cost of his labor. I called the office to write a formal complaint; it does not seem that they took that seriously. I would NOT RECOMMEND using their services for the GULFPORT, MS area.
