I would like to share the very unpleasant experience I had with University KIA in ******, ***I contacted them regarding a car I wanted to buy and asked them if I could trade in my current vehicle. They agreed to give me an estimate and told them that we had already visited another dealership and has looked online for a fair price for our vehicle. Therefore, we more or less know what the car was worth. However, after spending almost two hours of waiting, one of the representatives there, Pa offered a very insulting offer for the car. He clearly wanted to low ball us and, what's more humiliating, they blatantly lied about the car needing some repairs (brakes( which we had already done last year. Pa did not even try to convince us or offer us a better deal for our car, so we left hugely disappointed and offended.A day later, they called us again saying that they wanted to give us a 'better' offer for our car. He told them that we have all the receipts about the parts replaced (even brand new wheels and tyres). They somehow convinced us to go and talk to them again. We took all the paperwork and even told them (and showed them) a standing offer for our car from ******* which was far better than what they were offering. Instead of trying to come to an agreement, Pa offered us just $1,000 more than the day before saying that that was all they could do. Needless to say that we left and have vowed to never talk to them anymore. We were more than ready to purchase a car from them but just from their attitude and their lies, we will take our money elsewhere. I would never deal with this very unprofessional people. We wasted 2 days with them and did not even looked at the receipts for the repairs and extra parts and money we had invested in the car to be traded.Their customer service is terrible. Now I understand why their parking lot is full of cars.Seeing how they treated us, most people would do business elsewhere.University Kia Response

I am sorry to hear about your experience with us. Unfortunately, all used cars are not worth the same amount to all dealerships. We do normally put more in trades them most do allowing us to sell more new cars and increasing our allocation of new inventory which is why we have a lot of cars on our lot. I hope you find the deal you are looking for.Review from Donna C

*****************,University Kia has diagnosed the problem with your vehicle. You are out of Factory coverage and the 3rd party **************** Plan does not cover the full repair. I went to University Kia to purchased a Kia ***** because of a Chase **** loan, but the salesperson told me that ***** rejected the loan and ********* was ready to give me an auto loan. But, I was in a rush and the salesperson was very pushy. I purchased the Kia ***** and signed the contract. I didn't see anything, but once I came home, I checked the papers and found out that they sold me the car for $37,000, of which was worth less than $21,000. I purchased the car on August 22, 2024 with mileage of 51 mi and now it has only 81mi as of August 26, 2024. I can't pay $526 per month plus insurance. Now I called the salesperson many times, left message and emailed him to take the car, but he didn't call me back.I am a substitute teacher and a single mother. I trade-in my ****** Versa for $1000 which was purchased by non-profit organization for me. I told the salesperson my situation and monthly payment option ($250) still he manipulated me in buying. I can't pay that kind of money every month. I am on food stamp and very hard life. Please help me to resolve this issue. I called many dealers and the *********. They are all telling me to talk to the dealership where I bought the car.University Kia Response

Ms. **************** understand that we cannot tell a customer that they cannot purchase a car because we feel that it is out of their budget if they want to purchase it. We are to show you what options we can provide for a you and it is your decision to purchase or not. I have reviewed your paper work and see several times where your payment was disclosed and signed by yourself. I cannot go into the details of your private information here however I would be more than happy to discuss this with you by phone or in person. I did verify that your purchase price is no where even remotely close to the $37,000 that you stated. I also was able to verify that the statement that you said the salesman said about the bank approvals is the truth. I do not think that is fair to insinuate that we misled or failed to disclose anything to you simply because you made a purchase decision out of your budget. If you feel that you were treated fairly and this is just a case of buyers remorse, I would appreciate you retracting this review. That being said if you feel that we did nothing wrong and you have made a decision that you are regretting, I would be more than happy to sit with you and go over any options that would get you to a lower payment. Please let me know if you would like me to help.Review from John D

*************** scam Took my vehicle to University, ************** yesterday for an oil change, and was told that I needed to have the brake fluid replaced for a cost of $150 The manual states to inspect all fluid levels but no where does it say to replace the brake fluid when I present this information to the service department they backed off requesting that I change the brake fluid In addition, they refused to check the brake pads, because I did not order the tire rotationUniversity Kia Response

**********************,It is our policy to do a multipoint inspection on every vehicle that is in our dealership for service. Part of this no charge inspection is informing you to what was found and informing you of any recommendations from the technician. I assure you that there is no scam, only alerting you to what is found and making recommendations. These recommendations are options for you to choose or not to choose. To address your second concern, if you are not doing a tire rotation, then the technician cannot check the breaks because the wheels have to be taken off to completely check the breaks for wear.Review from Kelyia P.

I live over an hour from this location. I passed SEVERAL dealerships that I could have taken my business to, but instead I chose University Kia. The sales person ******* was wonderful. He was so good, that I told my father and sister about him because they are both in the market for another vehicle. My husband and I spent well over six hours at this location the day that I purchased a vehicle. All I heard is how this dealership cares about their customers, and how they will make sure that they are taken care of ....EVEN AFTER purchase. I really believed that the dealership would stand behind what they said. I purchased a vehicle from the dealership on 7/18/2022. The very next morning, a situation arose in my family and I reached out to the dealership for options on the vehicle. I hadn't had the vehicle for 24 hours yet and they did say that they do all they can to take care of their customers. I called the dealership to speak to my salesperson(who was unavailable), then I asked for the finance manager ****** because it's the other person that I was dealing with during the purchase. She wasn't available so I left a message for her and tried again a little later that evening. I never received a call back that day. The next morning, I didn't receive a call so I called back. I figured that she was out of the office, so I asked for the general manager and was sent to his voicemail. A few moments later, I got a call from ****, who said there was no way he could assist because he was not who I talked to and dealt with during the process, but that he would have ****** call me back as soon as she was done with the customer that he was helping and assured me it would be before lunch. To make a long story short, it is now one week and a day and I haven't heard from ANYONE at the dealership except my salesperson. I feel that at the very least, someone could have returned my call even if there was nothing they could do to help. As a customer I feel abandoned and unappreciated.University Kia Response

Mrs. *******, I apologize for the lack of communication. I did get your voicemail and asked **** to call you. I thought he was able to answer all of your questions and I was not aware that your problem was not resolved. I am having the sales manager on your deal give you a call this morning to answer any questions you may still have. Thank you, **** ******* General ManagerCustomer Response

Update: I waited a few days for a call from the company. I received a call from my salesperson again, as I always have. ******* promised me that he would call and check on me periodically and he has done just that. Other than *******, I have received a call from no one. I don't think I have ever felt this bad about a purchase.
