There is an infestation of roaches within one of the apartment buildings. Despite telling the complex and the managers that there is indeed an infestation and nothing is being done to assist myself and my fellow residents within the building. We moved in despite the roaches we faced upon arrival because we were faced with no choice but to move in due to us having no where else to go. With over 2500$ in security deposit, rent and etc we could not just go somewhere else. I told them at the time we tried to move in of the problem. Now the problem has just continued to worsen for myself and others within this building. I asked at the time of move in if we could move in to a different apartment as i feared with constant spraying of pesticides that it would be harmful for my two dogs and feared my anxiety would worsen with the situation. They said that wasn't an option as they didn't have any other apartments available. Which I learned was a lie, since 5 plus people later moved in that week in to different apartments within the neighborhood. We have been living here for almost two months and have had our apartment sprayed with pesticides 4 different times including traps that we had to purchase ourselves. With the current rental rates in our state we cannot afford to move anywhere else. Its so frustrating to pay so much money every month for this apartment that is infested with bugs. The manager i spoke with didn't care about my needs or my dogs, but they will continue to tell you they are a dog friendly neighborhood and care about there residents. One employee told me i would need to start housing my animals else where on the days they may need to spray. Both my animals are my emotional support animals as i suffer from anxiety. My anxiety has now worsen with the constant fear of being in a unsafe pest filled apartment. With no real help from the apartment complex but them spraying.
