I have been an art therapy credentials board holder since the Year 2006 and I have reattested every 5 years that I have taken the hundred CEUs and attested to my good character and sent them a check to keep my board certification active. However this year I did not receive an email from the art therapy credentials board regarding bmy need to reattest and they placed me on inactive status in November 2021 indicating that I would have to find an art therapist of good standing to vouch for my character and give them $400 in a check to atcb. This summer in July I had going on the art therapy credentials Board website to download my card and I saw that I had to re attest so I copied the form and then sent them my money + attesting that I had completed the 100 CEUs and also indicated that my standing was in good character. Atcb indicated they never received any money of mine and then stated I shouldn't have done so through the US mail that I should have gone through an email but I never got an email from them about reattesting they don't answer their phones and there's been over 300 art therapist who have been placed on inactive status by this so-called Professional Organization. I have received misinformation from them regarding when I was to recertify 3 different years with different recertification dates. I had sent atcb an e-mail twice appealing that I could send in a late renewal given I never received the email and that I did send in a check and complete my Hundred CEUs I also had let them know I checked my spam and never received an email from them and I have not heard back I have been ghosted they do not answer their phones and the indicate that the only way they communicate is through email
