      I have billing issues as many others. After seven months and multiple phone calls I am still getting billed for something I dont owe. I have been told multiple times and different stories from customer service **** that the issue would be reviewed and corrected. Nothing has been done and Im now on a 4th review. I have provided *** showing the adjustment that they asked for and even a three way call between Atrium *** and Insured companies. I have been told and emailed that I do not owe the bill in question and it would be corrected only to receive more calls, emails and texts to pay the bill. And then told, your right you dont owe this and we will again send it for a review, just to receive calls the following week to pay the bill. It does no good if no one will actually do a review and solve the problems. I am not allowed to talk to a supervisor and I spoke face to face with a financial assistance in person at one of the medical facilities and said she will try to help but since Atrium took over Wake Med it has gotten about impossible to talk to anyone. Pretty pathetic way of doing business.

      Atrium Health Baptist Optical Designs off of *********************************I tried on lots of different frames the day of my visit and I appreciated the time that was spent with me to ensure I picked the correct ones, however, the incorrect frames were ordered. I called to explain this but they refused to admit the error and further explained that basically all sales are final. I felt this was unfortunate since I paid over $400 for the frames. I was simply asking for an exchange and make it right. Unfortunately I have no proof other than my word. Have been a customer there for years but I will not purchase anymore frames or contacts from them.

      As others say, check your statements. The Portal is terrible.. no one knows what they are doing. If you have other options you should look into those. This place is going downhill quick.

      Atrium at Premier Plaza is running an insurance scam. For the past two years, I have been going there to get my physical done which is 100% covered by my insurance, however I am still getting charged for these visits. I have contacted them multiple times to correct the coding error, yet they will not correct the bill. Additionally, Atrium charged me twice for a surgical procedure that I had received only once, but filed the claim with two different names. Fortunately my insurance was able to catch it and denied one of the claims. This establishment needs to be investigated and I will be contacting the ***********************

      QUESTION EVERY CHARGE!!! Check your billing because I go for my annual physical and I get a bill. Under my insurance it is supposed to be a free physical yet EVERY YEAR I get a bill because it is not coded correctly. Every year it takes a few months to get the bill correctly coded. It is so frustrating and I know if it happening to me every year it's happening to other people. Can't imagine how much money WF is making on incorrect ********!!!

      Our MD referred my husband to the ED for additional emergency treatment. We waited nearly 10 hours and left unseen, no treatment for his septic infection. People were taken back who admitted they just wanted Advil. Patient next to us had a seizure and I literally had to begin his resuscitation because the nurses didn't have gloves. After the 10hr wait they asked us to continue to wait with NO known timeline to be seen or treated, despite knowing other facilities locally could see and treat him

      Wake Forest is running a insurance scam - scheduling and billing unnecessary appointments. I called their office when I found out I was pregnant, told them how far along I was and they scheduled my first ultrasound. When I arrived the ultrasound technician asked who scheduled my appointment as it was too early to gather the information they typically would at this stage. The technician then said that we we would go ahead and complete the appointment as scheduled. After the ultrasound was complete the doctor popped in the room for less than 30 seconds to let me know that as we already knew, it was too early and they rescheduled the appointment a week or so in the future. It was a inconvenience but I wasn't too bothered until I received the $1204 ($504.34 after insurance) bill in the mail and realized I would be responsible for the same bill all over again because of their scheduling error. I disputed the bill with the care provider, they removed the charge from my billing statement (after numerous escalations and failures to respond in a timely manner) for a time and they just reposted the bill (months later) saying the dispute review was complete and I was responsible for the charges as services had been rendered, a fact that was never disputed to begin with. Through the whole 5 month process I never received any updates as they failed to meet the several response deadlines I was told they would meet. Additionally it seems convenient that they only reposted the bill and "resolved" the dispute a week after I transferred care outside of Atrium health/Wake Forest Baptist Health. The SECOND ultrasound which was essentially a rescheduling of the first appointment was $234.72 LESS expensive than the appointment before it, even though the exact same services were rendered. I am now escalating this dispute through my insurance company and another appropriate channels.

      I have an adult special needs daughter. She is hearing impaired and has severe language processing problems. She has hydrocephalus and needed a shunt revision ( we moved and just recently in the Wake system ). Her first revision she woke with severe cognitive dysfunction. Anesthesia damage. 2020 she had another shunt revision. The hospital would not all me in recovery as her interrupter or to give her her hearing aids. He throat was injured during surgery once again an injury from anesthesia. April 14, 2022 she had another revision and despite changes made to our daughters anesthesia protocol from notes taken due to injury from 2019, the anesthesiologist used the incorrect Anesthesia despite us warning her. It has been over 2 months and our daughter has severe damage. The anesthesiologists never returned our call. Our neurosurgeon got involved and had someone from the anesthesia dept. call us. That is when we learned the wrong anesthesia was used. Not once was our daughter followed up by anyone in Anesthesia.
