Rather than having a "the customer is always right attitude" Mr. P******** chose to retaliate and send us a bill for over $2000 (we had already paid the more the $8000 invoice in full) for misc nuts and bolts, etc., due upon receipt. Needless to say, we did not take this lying down. I documented everything that happened and sent it to the NH State Attorneys General. The invoice was retracted.
The problem came later when I (now a widow) tried to get any work done in my home. None of the local contractors would even return my calls (even having used some of them in the past and always paid my bills in full immediate upon receipt). So it appears, Mr. P******** chose to retaliate further by blackballing me. That was 13 years ago, and I still cannot get local contractors to call me back. One local electrician even rather recently freaked out "OMG I answered the phone!!" apparently talking to some of his buddies, as he laughed hysterically, then hung up on me, when I called him.
Very unprofessional and still an ongoing problem for me.
