Ended up terminating him and requiring reimbursement for work not done. Receipts provided didnt add up to expenses claimed. Received many abusive texts and voicemails. Sued in small claims. Mediator had to alert security because of angry offensive outbursts towards us. Judge reviewed our documents (he had only an ER receipt) and ultimately instituted settlement agreement with deadline for him to reimburse compromise amount. We got nothing. ***** then entered judgment for full amount we sought. He paid nothing and appears to own no property against which a lien can be placed. Filing judgment with state to broaden accessibility by lenders or consumers. Several contractors pointed out shoddy work which had to be corrected before completion of the rest of the job. Plus, we were just contacted by another person who had a similar negative experience and will be filing suit too.
