In January of 2016 Crown Construction began work on our Kitchen Renovation project. A part of that project still remains unfinished today. In the five plus years that this has been going on several things have happened. There has been quite a bit of turnover at Crown. Our foreman was fired after our project, the next two people they sent out have retired, the next person they sent out quit, and the last individual they sent out in 2021 may or may not still work there. It has been a constant battle with this company to resolve these issues. Every time a contractor has come out to the house they did not know what to expect despite numerous emails with pictures documenting the issues. There are two main issues that are currently still at play. #1 we still have cabinet doors that need replacing due to color mismatch and/or crackling paint. In 2017 they sent out a representative from ******* cabinetry to examine the issue with the paint color and the crackling that has been happening since installation. *** *. (******* rep) could see the color differential and also acknowledged that the crackling was a warranty issue. They sent us new doors and told us to reach out should any other cabinets have crackling. Doors were not checked prior to delivery and installation by Crown so this problem still persists. #2 with the installation of new cabinetry and doors came new issues with finishing. We have areas in our cabinets that have drill holes/screw holes that are still visible. We spent $30,000+ on this kitchen project. Our money was collected over five years ago, but the job was never finished properly.
