On Monday August 5th, I contacted Turkish airlines representatives via phone and chat to ask to change my trip so I would be able to pick up my luggage in ******** instead of ******. The representatives told me this would be something for the airport team to handle when I arrive to check in. Upon arrival to check in on Aug 10th, the airport team told me I needed new tickets since the existing tickets' final destination was not ********. This resulted $2750 of fees that could have been avoided if I was provided with correct information earlier.Customer response

Cancelled flight with Turkish Airlines. I was scheduled for a flight leaving ******, ******* to ******* *****, and the flight was cancelled. The delay was excessive and would have cost me my job. I had to book a flight with another airline -*********** to get home. The agency that booked the ticket said Turkish Airlines will not refund them. Also, other people (same flight and method of paying)have received a refund.Customer response

We purchased flight tickets from Turkish Airlines, 1 for my mom, 1 for my husband and 1 for me and 5.5 months old baby. Our baby got very sick, and we needed to delay our flight on Oct 17th. I contacted to THY customer service, and I was forwarded to ******************** I have filled out a file with the health report by our doctor and one of the customers representative reached out and asked detail on report such as diagnosis, treatment and statement from doctor saying that the flight won't be safe for the baby due to health conditions. I reached out to our doctor and she completed all the requested info on the health report. I also filed the proof showing my husband was the father of the baby, by sharing birth certificate and family tree showing that my mom is my mom. Turkish Airlines rejected my documents by saying treatment period was not clear . Their representative had not ask the treatment days on the report and did not guide us saying that was needed. Even though we have provided all the info that was asked, they came up with new requests that were not asked originally in order not to waive the penalty . Please help us to defend our rights. I am filing a formal complaint against Turkish Airlines for severe mismanagement of my flight booking. I booked a ticket from *******, ***, to ******, *******, and Turkish Airlines provided incorrect flight information, including a departure time that was 14 hours off and a nonexistent flight from ****** to *********Due to these errors, I missed an important professional conference and spent two days at the airport, followed by a whole month attempting to resolve the issue with no help. Despite multiple contacts with Turkish Airlines over the past month, they have refused to address their mistake and provide a solution.I seek full compensation for the financial loss, time wasted, and professional damage caused by theirnegligence.Initial Complaint

Hello,I am writing because i have been having issues with Turkish Airlines. I had a knee replacement in May 2024 and continue to have mobility issues so i called Turkish airlines to change my flight and for almost two weeks I keep getting the run around. They have not changed my ticket until day of travel and were threatening no show fees when I have made efforts to get the change made. I submitted feedback and uploaded medical documents. I even offered to do a voluntary change and pay the applicable fees and wait for a reimbursement to no success. I keep getting told i have to call a different office and get redirected right back to customer service. I had to encounter very rude staff members who made no attempts to assist and the few that did had to keep sending messages to head office and wait for a response which never came. It has been a nightmare and emotional stress trying to get a chance to my ticket and/or cancel and get reimbursed to no avail. The level of emotional stress, anxiety this has caused is extremely overwhelming with the fear of no show and all unnecessary fees that i should not have to pay being that all necessary steps were taken on my part to get this ticket changed timely.Initial Complaint

Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Turkish Airlines due to a significant issue we have encountered with our upcoming travel plans.We have booked a round-trip flight with Turkish Airlines from ****** to *******, with a stop in ********. The flight is scheduled from November 26, 2024, to January 4, 2025. This trip is of great importance to my family, as it will be the first time my wife and I will travel with our daughter, who is under 2 years old. Furthermore, this will be my daughters first flight, and she is going to meet her grandparents for the first time during our visit to multiple cities in *****. Unfortunately, we have not been able to visit our family in over six years.After the booking was confirmed, we were informed by Turkish Airlines that our flight needed to be changed due to "operational reasons." This sudden change has caused significant inconvenience, especially given the challenges of traveling with a young child. What is more troubling is that Turkish Airlines stated they could not guarantee that there would be no further changes to our booking until seven days before departure. This uncertainty is making it very difficult for us to plan our trip.We are extremely disappointed with how this situation has been handled, as it has added undue stress to an already challenging journey. I am writing to file a complaint against Turkish Airlines concerning an unresolved excess baggage charge incurred on my flight on June 7, 2024 (Ticket #*************).Upgraded my return flight from ****** (EWR) to ******** to business class.Contacted Turkish Airlines customer service beforehand to pre-pay for extra baggage and associated weight fees.Misinformed by customer service that I needed to pay for both extra baggage and weight, even though I was within the 32kg business class allowance.Paid $174 for the supposed excess weight (32kg) for two additional bags.Upon arrival at the airport counter, informed by staff that the weight charges were unnecessary for business class passengers.Despite proof of payment for extra baggage and weight, I was incorrectly charged $174.Unsuccessful Resolution Attempts:Advised by airport staff to submit a feedback request online for a refund.Submitted multiple feedback requests (************ ************ ************ ***********) with detailed explanations and supporting documents.Received initial confirmation of refund issuance (************ ************), but never received the refund check.Followed up with customer service multiple times and received various responses:Requested additional information (************ ***********#) which I promptly submitted.Directed to a different email address ****************** on the last feedback (************) and sent a detailed request with supporting documents on September 18, 2024.Despite repeated attempts, no resolution has been reached, and no refund has been received.Resolution Sought:I kindly request your assistance in resolving this issue and having Turkish Airlines issue the appropriate $174 refund for the excess baggage charge that was incorrectly applied.I have attached copies of relevant documents, including:The refund request form. is attached and if you need more info please contact me.Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.Sincerely,Customer response

Since June 2024 ti this point, I have contacted the company multiple times, and have put in complaint . They keep telling me to put another complaint and again nothing. Two months ago they told me to contact their office in ********. I sent them two e mails but no reply. I know they have an office in ******** but every time I call them they respond over seas and they continue repeating the same respond to write another feedback. The same thing over and over since June of this year. Totally unbelievable, I can not believe that this company operates in U. S.Totaly unbelievable, and unexceptable without any reprecautions.

Due to changes made by Turkish Airlines, my flight has been switched from PM to AM. This has caused me significant hardship. I was forced to purchase a second ticket to reach my destination, without any assistance while I was overseas, away from my home country. I have attempted to contact Turkish Airlines, but they are not providing any help or resolution.Customer response
