I went to this venue with my daughter this past weekend. It was the first time I had ever gone to an event there so I guess I had certain expectations considering the age of the group 5-9 or so and the fact that this was an "athletic" type of event. During my hour at the place I witnessed 4 injuries. One child fell and hurt his knee another hurt his wrist and was holding back tears. Another child ran screaming to her mother crying and my child fell on her back..upon review of the fall it was about 5 feet...screaming for about 5 minutes. I was horrified. During this time I saw one individual from the gym in the main room I did not see another. I guess its my opinion that an event of this kind should have the proper supervision ..regardless of a release form. Its just right. Also not one person from the gym came up to me or the others to make sure the little kids were ok. Just a thought on the lack of event super vison there were under 5 yr old running around with the older kids. Again. With proper event super vison this would not have or should not have happened. I did see the 1 employee come in to the main room 1 x during the hour and a lot when the event time was over... so the kids could not use the room. So after seeing all of this I decided to call the owner. Bad idea. You would think that an individual who owns a business would be responsive to concerns. This was not the case. Instead I was lectured about "fitness rules" and treated like an idiot. I informed the owner that I was not calling to threaten or be rude to him and I guess I got the "tough guy" beat down lecture instead. And no I do not need to know what the "safety rules" are to be unhappy. No empathy..no real concern no feeling of urgency just excuse after excuse and lectures. This is the first time I have been compelled to do a report like this. No I am not a ninja..no I am not a gym owner. I am a concerned parent and hopefully this review helps you.
