      As a resident of this community, I feel compelled to share my experiences in the hope of bringing attention to the numerous issues plaguing our living environment. First and foremost, one of the most frustrating aspects of living here is the abysmal level of communication and accessibility provided by the property management team. Despite repeated attempts to get in touch with someone from the residential side regarding various concerns and inquiries, it has proven nearly impossible to receive a timely response, if any response at all. This lack of responsiveness creates an environment of uncertainty and frustration among residents who rely on prompt assistance and support.Furthermore, the actual property manager assigned to oversee our community appears to be indifferent to the challenges faced by residents. Despite numerous complaints and requests for assistance regarding maintenance issues and general upkeep of the property, the response has been lackluster at best. It is disheartening to witness the blatant disregard for the well-being and comfort of the individuals who call this community home. In addition to the poor management and lack of responsiveness, the physical condition of the property itself is deteriorating at an alarming rate. Despite the exorbitant fees charged to residents, the property is plagued with a myriad of maintenance issues, ranging from plumbing problems to structural deficiencies. It is deeply concerning that we are expected to pay top dollar for a living environment that is, quite frankly, falling apart before our eyes. Legal action has been obtained as other residents were urged to do so as well.

      Translation:"I live in *****, ***********************************************. I am a resident. I experienced racial discrimination and was attacked in the elevator. We were trapped in the elevator for nearly 10 minutes, enduring insults and assaults. My boyfriend was injured. When I reported this to the apartment manager, she told me that the person who attacked me had just been released from prison and was still charged with battery. She also informed me that this person was in the process of moving out. I reported the incident to the police and waited five days for them to collect evidence. When I asked the apartment manager if the man was still in the building, she said she wasn't sure; his car wasn't in his spot, and they needed one more day to confirm if he had left the building. Moreover, the manager told me they had no obligation or responsibility for the incident. After consulting with a lawyer, it was clear they had a definite responsibility due to negligence. I asked for a small rent reduction as compensation, but they were arrogant, denying any responsibility and said it was impossible. Two weeks have passed, and I haven't received any email informing me of Brookfield's position, although they keep saying they will email me the outcome. It's very upsetting and disgusting."

      *** lived at the *********************************** for two years. My experience with staff at Brookfield Properties has been actually, excellent, when I have a problem ie garbage disposal, light bulb out, window shade broken, someone responds within 24 hours. If my lock battery on my doors goes, the response is immediate. The fact that University Park area is one of the best locations in Cambridge is not lost on its residents. Were near where everything happens. Id recommend this place anytime.

      I am a resident of their apartments in ************ and this place has so much potential and would be great if the right people worked there. People in the management office are condescending and rude and if you come to them with a problem they treat you like you are nothing but an inconvenience. They have a double standard when it comes to residents. Certain residents are given chance after chance to break their lease while others are chastised or ignored. Our downstairs neighbor has 9 bags of trash on their patio and we have been messaging multiple times to see what is being done but get complete silence. Their tagline is "live the epic story of your life" but the only way to do that is if you sit down and shut up and don't let anything bother you. One of their employees also reveals information about other tenants as we were told the circumstances of one tenants eviction and also told that we were being investigated due to our association with them. The only redeeming quality about this place is maintenance as they are very friendly and professional and timely. I can't say I am surprised that this company isn't BBB accredited as the way they do business shows.

      We lived in a Brookfield property for 6 years, during those six years we gave them a list of things in person. That needed repaired. When we first moved in the carpet wqs not clean, we had the carpet cleaned multiple times due to the fact the carport was dirty from cars, rain etc. We had mold in the upstairs shower that his actual plumber took pictures. We had to replace the facuet in the kitchen And also there was a foul odor coming from the base of the toilet upstairs that I had to replace as well. The manager is refusing to reimburse for all repairs. There is mold underneath the carpet. Now he is trying to not to give an us our deposit back.
