The following letter was sent to Mr. **** *******, owner of the dealership with slight omissions to conform to your letter limit. I never received a call or letter to acknowledge its receipt. I then contacted Kia ******* who sent them the letter and picture and still no contact. Following is a copy of the letter:Dear Mr. ********** 2018 I purchased a new Kia ****** from your dealership. I have regularly had the vehicle serviced at your dealership and been satisfied with the service. However, I wanted to make you aware of the following experience I had.On July 5th I took my car in for a routine oil change. Upon completion of the service I received documentation indicating everything was checked as good. I proceeded to my car and checked the cabin filter to be sure it was indeed in good shape. The filter was filthy and obviously not checked. Normally I am presented with a dirty filter and asked if I would like to have a replacement and this was not done. Attached is a picture of the filter. Upset, I returned to speak with ***** and was told the technician said he had checked the filter. ***** proceeded to tell me he has seen worse, certainly an unacceptable explanation for not checking and making me aware of the condition of the filter. ***** was apologetic and did replace the filter at no charge. This incident makes me question the integrity of the inspection and checklist process you have in place. Can I be sure the checklist is an honest appraisal of what has *** done? One reason I use the dealership for my oil changes is the value of knowing the conditions of my systems and whether any of them require maintenance is done by a well trained and honest technician. I have been a trusted and satisfied customer of your dealership and have valued our relationship. I would be remiss if I didn't apprise you of this incident so you could take any actions you deemed necessary. Respectfully, *** *******Dutchess Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Mitsubishi & Kia Response

Mr ******** I did receive your letter and have taken the appropriate actions with my team to address. I did not know you wanted a response from me as ***** took care of the filter. We do believe our Multi Point Inspection is accurate at this time. Thank you for choosing Dutchess. Sincerely, **** ******* ************ **************************************Review from Jeffrey S

Horrible business practices. Theyre shady & honestly just avoid the place at all cost. Purchased a Jeep back in May of 2020 & they literally sold me the car with bald tires on it. Told them the tires were bald & still purchased the car because honestly I had a feeling they couldnt be THAT shady & in fact they are. Had to pay for new tires myself, record the convo of a mechanic saying that nobody doing good business would legally pass the tires for inspection & show the person in charge (I use the phrase in charge very loosely) JUST for them to agree & cut me a check for the tires as I JUST purchased the car a DAY BEFORE. Blew my mind. Never dealing with them again unless a friend/family member tells me to deal with someone THEY know personally who isnt a shady salesman.Dutchess Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Mitsubishi & Kia Response

Mr ******** I'm sorry to hear your dissapointment at the dealership back in 2020. I can assure you that the tires on the vehicle we absolutely NYS inspectable. At that time, May of 2020, we were reduced to a skeleton crew made up of our best technicians and we physically record the actual tread depths to be certain the tires pass NYS inspection. With that being said, it is very possible that the used vehicle you purchased had tires that were not new. We do make accommadations outside of NYS when we can and we did in this situation by reimbursing you as per your comments above. I'm not quite sure why you think we are "shady". We sold a used vehicle with used tires that were agreeable low on tread, but absolutely NYS inspectable. We agreed to pay for your new ones as we agreed with you that they were low. All of this during a Covid shut down. I hope you will reconsider your point of view as your patronage is important to me. Sincerely, ***********************Review from Arkhip M

I hope the dealership sends my review to Stellantis. I bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was a few years used at the Dealership with low miles. ******* of purchasing a new ***** CRV, I went with a jeep grand Cherokee, because the sales team assured me jeeps are reliable, practical to maintain and affordable to repair. Even as used, it was more than a new ***** CRV. But it was Beautiful also. They sold me on the car for sure. It was my first Jeep. I spent almost $30,000 on the car with taxes, frees, and warranty. But. Soon as I purchased my Jeep, I felt the car was a lemon. There were many issues that I brought up months after purchase. The service department was wonderful. The sales person was wonderful. But they didnt believe me and said the car was fine. I even told the owner many times that I thought the transmission was going to give out. Its all well documented. ******* was leaking when I purchased the car and they said it wasnt a big deal because they recently did repairs to it. One day I was driving in town and the transmission gave out and threw me against the steering wheel. It was terrifying. When the transmission suddenly broke, it was like hitting a wall. Thank god I wasnt going faster. Might have been killed The car was a nightmare before and the day after the transmission blew. These are things needed to be done:1 Transmission 5 Radiators 1 Stick-Shift ********** intake valves Long list of other small parts related to Transmission, Engine and connections. I had to rely on rental cars and dealership courtesy vehicles several times when car was in shops. I brought up my long list of frustrations and regrets about the car. The dealership even told me they would help me out and get me into another car. That never happened because they didnt want to give me any credits. They just wanted another sale. The car was a lemon.I got stuck with it, until I finally paid it off. I hope you do your research before buying a Jeep Grand CKReview from John Paul M

COMPLAINT: Dutchess Chrysler, Jeep, DodgePoughkeepsie, NYApril 19, 2022 To all Reading this, I wanted to let everyone know my experience with this dealership so that you understand what I have been through over the past 8 months dealing with Dutchess Dodge on Rt. 9. You will easily be able to formulate you own opinion after reading and make better decisions than I have I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned 2018 Ram Laramie w/ 26K Miles in September 2021 which I had issues with immediately. I told the salesman (**** by the name of **** that the tires were almost bald and he told me, This truck has been through the pre-check and everything on the vehicle is up to par. I immediately took the vehicle to a tire shop and they told me that I am so close to not even passing inspection with the tires on the vehicle that they sold me. It took quite some time arguing back and forth before the ** finally cut me a check for the new tires that I personally had to put on the vehicle so my family would not be in danger. The Vehicle coming off the lot had an issue with the touch screen. It looked like there was water or oil damage in the screen. I had to take this back in to be replaced and thank God I purchased an extended warrantee or they would have charged me. The Vehicles drivers seat was broken from day one which had to be replaced under warrantee. The Vehicles battery died within a very short period of time and I had to replace that on my own. The rear door molding was broken off and had to be taken in 2 times to be fixed. Now to the BIG issue that is still not resolved. at least 5 times to date I have a waterfall coming down inside my entire truck from the headliner. I have had the truck in the shop 4-5 times now and they cant find the issue and proceed to send me home. The water is soaking the entire headliner, my rugs, seats, dripping through the speakers. Its everywhere. When I take it into the shop, they will never take the time to addressDutchess Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Mitsubishi & Kia Response
