Been a member sense 1981 Was great service until the new credit card system was installed I have multiple charges on the card that are duplicated past charges that have been paid. They say they are working on this known problem but see no action to resolve this. I’m sure I’m not the only customer to have this problem but I’m not paying $800.00 in duplicate charges due to their mishandling of the account. I always had great faith in wright patt credit but I must now only hope this is not the direction the credit union is going.Wright-Patt Credit Union, Inc. Response

I had a car loan with Wright-Patt I was very happy about my price and my interest rate but I did not have the vehicle for a year the time I did have the vehicle in it was running I made every payment on time I kept up on my maintenance with it but out of nowhere the timing chain slipped I contacted and visited their piqua office multiple times when I went the first time a lady named Jessica told me how they felt bad for me and that they were going to knock three of my payments down to deferment payments since I wasn't able to drive the car and told me that if worst case scenario they could put me in a rollover loan so that I wouldn't have to go without a vehicle so I left kept trying to get back in contact no answer I finally went out and started looking for another vehicle and I got turned down on a $5,000 loan because Jessica didn't have a supervisor sign off on the deferment payments and drop my credit score to a 380 I continue to try to reach out for someone to help me like they said and nothing but when I was talking to collections a lady was nice enough to listen pull my record and she seen every time I came in every time I called she was very nice and helpful she was able to get my credit score back up within 30 days unfortunately nothing after that I had let them know to come get the vehicle I can't drive it and I'm not going to pay for something I can't drive while waiting for help from you guys so they came and got the vehicle and you can see on my report where I made every payment on time until this issue but now you guys have it on my credit report as a repo for refusal to pay not only did you guys not keep your word to me but I feel like you're slandering my name you make it sound like I got this vehicle from you guys and just said screw it not making my payments and that's how every loan center sees it and I don't think that is fair at allWright-Patt Credit Union, Inc. There needs to be a discrimination case filed against wright patt credit union and I will be the first following this complaint to contact my attorney regarding this matter. I went into the bank to make a large deposit via check as I have done in the past. This time the deposit was to my personal account. I have both a business acct and a personal account with wpcu that I have had for almost 20 years. When I go inside to make the deposit my receipt stated (as well as my online banking app) that some funds will be available in 1 business day, then a larger amount in 2 days and the total amount 5 days thereafter. Two days after the deposit I called to see why the portion of the funds weren't available and they said they was holding the check an additional 20 days to verify the funds and that no funds will be available. Now there was no fraud on my account. Never been any fraud. Plenty of checks that were written by my company have been deposited. No issues in the past. But since I went into the bank, and you see I'm black, now it becomes an issue. Because I'm certain no other white members gets a 20 day hold place on a check. The hold should be exactly what was stated when I went into the bank. Wpcu is racist. Everything is good when your middle class, 9-5 checks are being deposited but the minute and black person gets to making large amounts of money in business and start depositing large checks from their contracting companies, it's an issue. I'm going to file a discrimination case against wpcu because of all the problems they have caused me.Wright-Patt Credit Union, Inc. Response

I had a car loan through them and then tried to do a pay off to finalize the loan and close the account. After almost 10 days i was told that they mistakenly gave me the wrong payout total. So i didnt get the title lean cleared. Then after another almost ten days called and they said they werent sure who to sent the title cleared lean to. The bank the account was payed with or to the person on the loan. In both cases lame reasons from not doing theyre job right. I,ll probably never see my $5 from the closed saving account. How lame. Hmmm no stars hereWright-Patt Credit Union, Inc. Response

We had our family trust with WPCU for years. Now the trustee has died so the successor trustee is to take over the trust - which is legally now irrevocable - and make sure the end of life bills are taken care of and the wishes of the original trustee are carried out. We were told before her death that they had all the paperwork and that all we would need to do is provide the death certificate and the new trustee would sign a new signature card for the account. Sounds easy. Instead, what happens is after the death of the trustee they say they no longer do irrevocable trusts and they freeze the accounts. Then, after receiving the death certificate - they close all accounts and send a lump sum check made out to the new trustee. This is not a NEW trust acct - it is an EXISTING trust acct. This leaves the family members that were supposed to be taken care of by the trust scrambling to pay the bills out of their own accounts and then have to set up a new trust account elsewhere. WPCU's new trust policy does not benefit the members.Wright-Patt Credit Union, Inc. Response

I had a car loan with Wright Patt. My loan came down to last payment. They didn’t close the loan instead charge me over a 1000$ . Saying I didn’t answer the phone to close the Loan. Very malicious action by them. They say it’s automatic and out of their hands. I will campaign against them forever. Never had bad credit and this dropped my credit 300 pts.Wright-Patt Credit Union, Inc. Response

My sister and I got a HELOC loan thru them, she was a member I’m not. I co-signed the loan. My sister passed away in March 2024. They won’t send me a bill so I can continue to pay on the loan, they won’t allow me to pay the bill online, I can’t mail it in because they don’t send me a bill. The payment was late this month because I didn’t get a bill to tell me what the payment is. I have to go in every time wait for them to call someone to get access to the account and find out what the payment is for the month. All I want to do is pay the bill. They said I can refinance, I won’t get approved for that large of a loan due to me being part-time, that’s why we applied with both incomes. I have never had this hard of a time paying a bill in my life. I won’t open an account there ever. You would think they would want their money without giving me a hassle. Screw Wright Patt credit union.Wright-Patt Credit Union, Inc. Response

I will NEVER EVER bank with Wright Patt again. We have car loan through them. My husband pays the loan with cash in person at a local branch. They repoed our car without ANY notification to us and told my husband that we were 3 going into our 4th month late. He said there’s no way. After digging deeper into the situation come to find out the STUPID tellers they hire was depositing each car payment into our savings account. I am so done with this horribly ran company. We have had problem after problem with them. Done.Wright-Patt Credit Union, Inc. Response

I have been trying to set up an account for someone with disabilities so I am the rep payee. I called to find out what I needed to bring with me. A going woman at the Urbana, Ohio location told me ID and award letter. I got both of those together and went to Springfield to open the account. I got there and waited approximately 45 minimum to be told I need something Certificate of appointment. I've been his rep payee for well over 20 years I don't even know what this is. I do everything online with SS office and this is not even on there website. For 20 years I've never needed anything accept his Award letter to prove I am his rep payee. This is why I left Wright Patt the 1st time. Every location has different rules, they have no idea what they are doing most days. I would not open an account here.Wright-Patt Credit Union, Inc. DISCRIMINATION I deposited my check on the 27th into my 20-year-old account. on the 2nd I received a phone call from Wrightpatt interrogating me asking me unnecessary questions. The lady stated that the check that was written was fraudulent and due to it being altered and fictitious. I called back and spoke to someone else that was a lot nicer. She told me to bring in a cashier's check or send a wire. I did just that, I went into the membership center and the teller informed me that she couldn’t take my cashier's check due to my account being in the negative. My account was in the negative because of the reversed check. They released part of the funds but took it back. My account was flagged as fraudulent, this was so embarrassing and upsetting. I was referred to the branch manager who reached out to PNC to verify the check. The check was verified, this should have been the first step before flagging my account and saying it was fraudulent. PNC said Wrightpatt did not want to accept the funds and sent it back as a suspicious item return. The fraud/crime department said that it could have been a mistake on their end said that I could file a complaint at the member center. If me and my client were white I wouldn’t have had a problem. I have been discriminated against, my account was flagged because of my skin color. I was not given a single valid reason as to why they would not accept the check. I have reached out to my lawyer to file a lawsuit for discrimination, emotional distress, travel fees to each bank, and loss of wages. Me and my husband had to take off to deal with this situation. I will try my best to make sure this does not happen again to anyone else. I was treated like a criminal and did nothing wrong. See you in court Wrightpatt!
