My children previously attended this daycare (now named Eastgate Learning Academy) prior to relocating to North Carolina. The daycare is to provide me with a year-end statement of dependent care expenses from 1/1/2023 - 6/30/2023 as we relocated in July 2023.

Despite countless contacts and outreach, as of today, 3/4/2024, I have not been provided with this information or given a response as to when I can expect it. I initiated contact on 1/17 submitting the request via email to obtain this information in order to file my taxes. I received a generic response referring me to a handbook I didn’t have access to as the daycare name changed after I relocated. I responded requesting a copy of the policy and never received a reply.

I have contacted this location by phone 10+ times to request and obtain the information and have been told there’s nothing they can do as the owner, ******** is the only one who can access/provide this information. I sent ******** a total of 5 emails dating from 1/17 - 3/1 with no update/response.

I contacted the business by phone on Friday 3/1 to obtain tuition information from a form I’d completed and was told by the Director, ******* that she had meetings all day and likely wouldn’t have time to locate it as all of the 2023 files were locked up outside in their storage shed. She advised that she would contact me on 3/4 to provide this information and I still have not received it.

I contacted the center by phone 3 times on 3/4 and was patched to their voicemail.

As a result of their negligence and downright intentional lack of follow up, I believe that they no longer have the 2023 records for my family as they have yet to be able to produce it, which has caused hardship as I cannot ensure the accuracy of my dependent care expenses without this information, thus I am delayed in filing my taxes until I am in receipt of this information.
