Most unprofessional & incompetent landlord I have ever dealt with. Moved in summer 2022 & moved out in 2024. During the time of our move in , the home was left disgusting. We had to contact owner about the dirtiness, they sent someone to “clean” but did the bare minimum. They don’t fix a lot of things or advise things are outside their realm to address such as any issues with bugs, doors that won’t stay open, water that comes into the sliding back door’s track, etc. I noticed mold due to water damage in the dinning room of my townhome, I was 8 months pregnant & my husband was on military duty when I noticed it. It wasn’t until after I brought my baby home that anything was done about the issue. We dealt with big fans & drywall being cut out all with a newborn. I was devastated to have to bring my child into that environment after being assured that it would be fixed prior. This was not our first run in with water damage, they usually just paint over the issue. They only did something this time due to the mold. Upon move out, drywall had still not been repaired. After move out, the landlord decided not to send us our deposit or an itemized list for damages. She claims to have sent it to the address we recently moved from, even after a forwarding address had been provided. I sent multiple emails after vacating & the owner claims she did not receive these emails. We lived in the townhome with no issue emailing, then suddenly she stopped receiving my multiple emails? It was only after my husband left a nasty voicemail advising we would sue if our deposit was not returned that she decided to reach out to try to rectify the situation. She would not allow us to come to the office to pick up the check, but advised she could leave it with another business down from her office. So unprofessional! Upon finally receiving what she claims was a recut check, most of our deposit was spent on cleaning damages, false claims, & issues from previous tenants that were not addressed.
