We had lived in the apartment for a month when the tub cracked caused a leak into the kitchen, and the ceiling began to show a line or crack. We reported the issue to management immediately. They said we would be responsible for the damages. We disagreed. When the tub was removed, it was found to have been installed incorrectly. They agreed to move us to a new apartment.
In March, we moved to a different apartment. We reported an outlet missing a cover, and a toilet missing a ring which caused a leak into the kitchen. They said they would be out the next day to do repairs. A few weeks later they hadn't come., when I discovered the uncovered outlet was sparking form the toilet leak. It was very frightening. The repairman came within five minutes and turned the electric off for two weeks we had no electric in the kitchen. .
About 3 months ago, the oven stopped working. I reported it to maintenance. I still don't have a working oven.
In September, the heating element in the hot water heater went out, so I have been without hot water for a couple of months now.
Now the toilet isn't flushing properly. They say they ordered a piece, but it has not been repaired.
I spoke to the office manager, Ashton, yesterday. I asked for discounted rent. She said no, they can't discount the rent, but will get someone out. I said it's been months. She said the owner lost his wife. I said we were sorry for him, but this has been going on a long time.
We can't cook, wash dishes or take showers. it is very expensive to eat out and drive to shower elsewhere.
