On August 12, 2024, My granddaughter drove my car and dropped me off near the restaurant sine I have trouble walking. She then parked my car in a "GV Big Lot" at zone *****. She paid for the parking fee of $4.45 by her Apple Pay. Her License number of her car is on her Apple Pay. A ticket was on the windshield for a parking violation. Offense= Non-payment Not Registered. When I appealed and sent a photo of her receipt, they stated "no proof that both vehicles were not parked in the lot simultaneously" and rejected my appeal. I was to pay $50 including late fees. I am calling them and will state I am not paying the $50.

On the night of August 25, 2024, at 7:45pm I received a parking violation for not paying for parking. Unfortunately I paid for my parking using their app, which had my other vehicle’s license number stored. When paying with the app I’m asked to select the total hours, and I selected two. The “Proceed to Checkout” green button pops up and I clicked it. I later learned that I needed to scroll down to see the my license plate that is saved in their system. This green button covers my license plate info. I click proceed and my transaction was completed. The app already had my credit info. I emailed Professional Parking Services the night of Aug 25, 2024 with a screen shot of the history in their app where I paid to park. Their staff emailed me back the next day to say I must pay the $25 fine, as they don’t know if I parked two different vehicles in the lot that night. I think the reasonable response is to give me a warning and stress that I must check my vehicles information in their app. Also, I’d advise that their app confirm my license plate number. I find it likely that several people have had a violation for an incorrect license plate being stored in their app. While possible that I could park two vehicles that I own in the same parking lot on the same night, this isn’t a reasonable counter to the situation that occurred. Also, I find it unreasonable that Professional Parking Services doesn’t have a phone number I can call, or walk-in hours at an address, to have a conversation with their staff about this issue.

We have actually had people park 2 vehicles in the parking lot and load only the 1 plate number.

Also, we utilize ParkMobile, which is also utilized by the City of ********, and will forward this message in an effort to make the application more user-friendly.

On August 4th I parked in ********* and paid using an app, as is my custom. That day I was driving a loaner vehicle from my garage. The application was prepopulated with the license plate from my personal vehicle and thus when I paid for parking defaulted back to that license plate without my knowing that it had. When exiting the restaurant I found a ticket on my windshield from a private parking company, Professional Parking Services. I assumed the matter would be easy to clear up as I had a receipt for payment and provided that to them. However, I received a rejection claiming that I could not prove that both cars were parked in the lot at the same time and only one had been paid for. Because I can prove that my personal vehicle is in the possession of a third party at that time I wrote back to them to advise that I could provide proof that both cars were not in the lot in the form or receipt from the garage indicating that my regular car was in their possession. I submitted this information to the contact e-mail that is on their website but received a respinse that they do not reply to disputes. I then attempted to use the hyperlink provided with the ticket to provide additional information on the dispute per their email instruction only to find that the option for dispute had been disabled. Thus, they will not accept additional information or additional proof that what they are claiming is impossible. The only choice they provide is to pay for a ticket that I should not have to pay since I did pay for parking. Essentially, they deny the dispute and invite further feedback but then disable all forms of feedback. Since I did pay for parking and can prove that the only car on the lot was the loaner I was driving and that the car bearing the license plate that is on the parking receipt was being repaired did not feel I should have to pay this ticket and that the company should reengage on the matter. Thank you.

I parked in a lot maintained by Professional Parking Services on 8/2/24 at 6pm. While entering the lot from beside the Penn and Beech store, I saw a large free standing portable sign that stated the parking was free and between 6am-5pm parking was $2 per hour. I supplied a picture of it and it's location at the entrance. I drove up to the first parking space available and saw smaller signs that matched the first one except they did not mention any times (photos included) so I did not pay for parking. I returned to my car at 9:30 to find a violation notice #***********. I went to their website to dispute the notice and sent them a picture of their sign that said parking was free. They emailed me back "Unfortunately, we are unable to void the ticket for this reason. More than 60 signs are posted on the lot stating that parking is paid for before leaving your vehicle." That is incorrect as the pictures show. I tried to reply or contact them via their website and the phone number on the signs but I cannot find any way to contact someone to speak with nor can I dispute the violation again as it is greyed out on the website. I want the company to remove the violation and remove or correct the sign that lies to people parking in the lot.

      Business response

      08/08/2024

The lot is free from 6a-5p and payment is required after via the ParkMobile application and this has been the same procedure since May 1, 2021.

I am rejecting this response because: this response does not address the issue with the inaccurate signage. I included a picture of the sign. I have never parked in this lot before so I would have no way of knowing the rules for the lot beyond the sign.  The sign needs corrected or removed in order for my complaint to be resolved.

I paid to park in ********* for 3 hours on June 24 (5pm to 8pm) using the ParkMobile app (see uploaded image). When I arrived back to my car the set time had expired for 10 minutes, and the yellow violation envelope was already on my windshield. There is no connection between ParkMobile and this business (Professional Parking Services) on the documents that would include a number to call, only an aggressive suggestion for payment, so originally, I thought this was a scam. During payment a 10 percent fee is also charged, which is egregious!

      Business response

      07/25/2024

We do take the lapsed time into consideration and have waived violations for a few minutes, but not for ***** minutes. The ParkMobile payment application will send prompts as your time is expiring. The original violation amount was $25 and turns into an additional fee after 14 days and we supply an envelope to send payment - we have a 3rd Party that administers online payments and they do charge a "convenience fee" (no additional charge to mail payment)

      Complaint: 22029638

I am rejecting this response because:

As explained in the response by Professional Parking Services, the time allotted to park had elapsed, and so I no longer expect a refund. However, this business really should state on their yellow envelope that they are in fact the third party collecting money for ParkMobile. In this time of scams, businesses are obligated to at least attempt to protect people forced to transact with them.

To whom (fourth party) did I pay a 10 percent service fee to collect the parking ticket charges?

Still feeling that this operation is sketchy and needs help with transparency!

I parked at a metered spot in Grandview behind ********. I was 15-20 minutes over my 2 hours. I tried to pay online. That did not work. I asked for someone (via their website) to contact me. No one did. I tried again a couple of weeks later. No response. I then received a notice of non payment in the mail that said they were going to impound my car?! I then tried to reach out to them via their website again. NO ONE HAS EVER CONTACTED ME AND THERE IS NO NUMBER TO REACH. I SEE SEVERAL COMPLAINTS LIKE MINE. I WANT SOMEONE FROM THE COMPANY TO CONTACT ME AND GIVE ME A PHONE NUMBER TO CALL.

My son received a mailing saying that he owed for a parking ticket in Columbus, Ohio. After repeated times of looking up his license plate on paymyparkingfee.com like they suggested in the letter and having it state that his plate had no matching results to a parking ticket, we ignored it. Flash forward one month and we received another mailing from Collect Park stating that the amount due is now $50. I have a screenshot from paymyparkingfee.con stating there are no matching results to a parking ticket with our license plate number. Then once Collect Park got involved and we went to the site again, his plate magically showed up as having owed the increased amount to collect park. I have repeatedly tried to call both professional parking services in Columbus but they never answer the phone, and even though the message tells you to leave a message, their mailbox is full and you are unable to do so. Collect park just has an automated answering service that does not enable you to speak to anyone or leave a message. Neither of these practices seem like something a legitimate company would do . Upon being contacted by the business, I would be happy to share the screenshot stating that my son’s license plate has no matching results.

I have asked for a hearing on 7-28,8-1,8-3,8-15,8-21 and 8-22. I had a reservation at the avenue restaurant on 7-20-2023 at 4:00 pm. I arrived and could not get my parkmobile app to work, I did register my car on the app, picture attached and parkmobile does not dispute this. I went into the restaurant and told the hostess I could not get the app to work and she said that is because parking is free until 5:00 pm, she then gave me a code to said to enter at 5:00 for a free hour of parking. I entered the code at 5:00, code is confirmed from the app, parkmobile does not dispute this, picture attached. i paid at 5:52 pm, receipt attached, and we were out of the parking lot before 6:00 pm. I was given a violation because I used applepay. app says you can use apple. ****, who works at parkmobile support wrote me and said that applepay doesn't work sometimes, e mails from **** attached. So parkmobile is trying to collect a fine when I had free parking for an hour. Nannu asked me to call him, which I did and he won't return my call. **** parkmobile support helpdesk@parkmobileglobal.com nannu nannu@professionalparking.net ************

Parked in a lot managed by this company on 6/9/2023 (GV Big Lot). I paid to park in this lot according to posted signs, and I parked in a parking spot that was clearly marked, with white lines. This spot (and others) is along a row of dumpsters, but it is still a marked parking spot, and there is nothing to indicate that these spots are special in any way and should not be parked int. There were no signs in front of this specific parking spot that say 'No Parking' or anything similar. Some of the dumpsters are labeled with signs asking people to not park in front of them, but this specific parking spot did not have a sign in front of it. I spoke with the person giving me the ticket, and he said that there are usually cones in front of these spots, but that they were removed that day to be used elsewhere. The fact cones are usually there proves that they are in fact parking spots that need to be blocked if they aren't to be used as parking spots, and the fact that there were no cones on the day I parked should mean that the spots were open to use. If this is not the case, it seems that the company removed the cones just to lure people into parking in these spots so they could give them bogus tickets. All other spots in front of this area were also full (5-6 spots). I submitted an objection to the ticket on the companies website, but they would only accept one picture and very limited characters and the objection was rejected. I emailed to ask about it and received no response. I have called, received one generic voicemail, and have stopped receiving responses. I paid the fine so I can park in the lot in the mean time (they threatened vehicle impound), but would like a refund. This company should only be giving tickets to people who actually break a rule in their lot. I have attached a picture of the parking spot, and there is no sign in front of this specific spot that should indicate that it is not to be used. Thanks, Connor
