6/17/23 Car was parked in their lot for Pride. I did mistakenly type one single letter of my wife’s license plate leading to a ticket on our car at the time of our return. When this mistake was realized I instantly sent an email informing them of my mistake and asking for next steps. I have never heard back from that and have followed up, now we’re receiving letters threatening to impound our car. We paid to park that day, and tried to fix mistake right away yet they will not return emails or calls to resolve this issue.

6/26/2023 my daughter received a letter from Professional Parking Services, LLC with the heading FINAL NOTICE TO AVOID VEHICLE IMPOUND. it states: “You are hereby advised that IF PAYMENT IS NOT MADE WITHIN (10) TEN DAYS, the below listed vehicle will be subject to immediate impoundment without further notice when parked on or at any facility managed or owned by Professional Parking Services, LLC in pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 4315.601. This appears bogus because there is no contact information other that a payment link which is broken and the address listed slightly different than the one listed here. Is the a scam?… a $50 scam?

You are welcome to email more information regarding the violation, if you would like, to my email: ****************************t.

The letter really implies if the vehicle is parked in a garage or lot we manage then we will tow. If you would like to find out more information about the violation please go to www.professionalparking.net and toggle through the Violation tab.

On June 5, 2023 I parked in the Grandview lot. Per the signage, I used the app to pay for parking. I have a new plate and thought I had successfully updated the license plate # when prompted by the app. I paid for two hours of parking. I returned to my car an hour and a half later to a ticket on the windshield. Using PPS’ website, I immediately disputed the charge. PPS wrote back the next day and basically said too bad. Their website does not allow for any further dispute or communication. I tried calling but the only number I could find and it was unusable, straight to a full voicemail box and disconnected the call. I emailed the employee listed on the website. While he did respond, he failed to provide a yes or no to resolve my dispute. I provided screenshots of the parking confirmation that matched a picture they had of my plate as PAID! I felt that communication delays were solely to push the timeframe long enough to collect even more money (cost jumps to $40 from $25 after 15 days) So for paying $4 + .35 for service fee to rightfully park… This company extracted another $25 + $4 service fee. ??

I believe we were corresponding via email over the course of 10 days. Basically, we use a 3rd Party, ParkMobile/Park Columbus, which is also utilized by the City of Columbus for all on-street parking and do not have access to any technical details surrounding the application - we enforce for compliance for an ownership group. ParkMobile does ask, before starting a session, to verify the plate entered is correct and that is how we determine if a vehicle is in violation or not; plate not listed on our enforcement side of the app means no payment (video surveillance is not used in the procedure).

I have been trying to pay my ticket online and cannot due to an error on the company's behalf. When inputting claim information, there is a character limit, but the company's name is longer than is allowed so ultimately you cannot submit payments. I am unable to change the way the company's name is entered, leaving me incapable of paying my ticket. I have tried several times to call the number associated with this business and have yet to receive a response. I would like to pay my ticket and have taken every action to do so. I'm hoping this comment will inform the company of their error so myself and other responsible parties can easily make online payments without unjust fees or threats of impoundment.

I received a letter saying I have a parking notice from a debt collector. The date says 10/15/2022. This is impossible as I was out of state on this date for my grandmothers funeral. My car was parked at my home while I was out of town and nobody had access to my keys. It is not possible for my car to have been parked there. This leads me to believe this may be a scam. If I go to “dispute” this the only option given in the letter is online at ******************* and when you go to enter your phone number, which is required to submit the form, it will not be accepted because it requires hyphens. Yet, it is not possible (see attachment) to enter hyphens from the keyboard. Therefore, they create a barrier for you to even dispute the “notice”. This blocks my right to dispute this impossible charge. I also received a threatening letter that I know to be illegal. The vehicle owner (me) may have grounds to seek damages arising from the property owner's conduct, such as threatening to report or reporting a delinquency on the part of the vehicle owner to credit reporting agencies. So not only is no payment due, but if the parking company tries to put a collection agency on you, I might have the option to sue. They gave me no way to contact this company and are sending threatening letters. This is my written notice to them to stop contacting me. ****** ****** ***********

The violation was given to a gray/silver Lexus, plate # *******, in a private lot in Grandview that has parking for businesses in the shopping center and the area.

You are able to view this online as well (I have attached an image), but if this is not your vehicle please reach out to me:

The first problem is that the first notice I recieve from this company about a parking fee is one that says Final Notice; Final implies more than one and this is the first notice i'm recieving. I am being targeted in an intimidation tactic by implying that I'm the one at fault for the payment not being submitted; when they are the ones who didn't send a notice till now and are now trying to rush me with criminal charges if i'm not fast enough in paying. Second problem is I'm on their website trying to pay the parking fee but the website won't let me submit the payment because one of the lines I have to fill out is over the character limit. But the line that is over the character limit is "Company Owed To" and it is one that is automatically filled in and can't be edited; I have tried two different cards and the only line that is red is "Company Owed To". As i can't edit this line and it is automatically filled in when I refresh the page it is impossible to make it within the character limit; making it impossible to submit payment.

Sorry for your experience with our website and the communication. In this instance the violation left on your vehicle would have been the first notice - I believe you disputed a few days after receiving and someone from our Management Team denied the dispute for the reason you stated. Also, it seems you have paid the violation on 12/27/22.

I was charged 65 dollars twice to my credit card for one 65 dollar (lost ticket) transaction. I have tried to rectify the charge with the garage provider directly and to cancel the second 65 dollar charge, but no one has gotten back to me. When I call the phone number provided, each call is dropped. I am a student who cannot spare the 65 extra dollars. I just need that charge cancelled and refunded as soon as possible so I am not without any money, can get groceries etc. Thanks!

If you could, please, send the receipts obtained from the garage machine (twice) or the confirmed "paid" amounts from a statement. We are happy to look into this - I did not receive this information personally:

I parked in the GV Big Lot on 10/11, paying $6.45 on the Park Mobile app to park there from 5-8pm. I returned to my vehicle at 6:54pm to a parking ticket on my car. I followed the instructions to dispute the ticket & emailed ************************************t a screenshot of the receipt. I went into the app & saw that the license plate entered was my previous license plate (GDZ5700) from before my cars title was transferred to me. My new plate (JLV3529) received the ticket. I updated this info in the app, but by doing so the app deleted the receipt of the ticket in question. I sent an email to them on 10/13 with screenshots of the timer in the app and my credit card statement showing I had paid. I received no response & followed up on 10/17 asking them to confirm receipt since there was a time constraint & got no response. I called their number & they didn’t pick up (voicemail was full). They responded on 10/23 stating “The receipt will be through the ParkMobile account you have set. I can reduce the fine when needed since you reached out a while ago.” I responded on 10/25 with a screenshot of my emailed receipt & received no response. I then received a letter in the mail in November threatening to impound my car if I didn’t pay the now $50 fee. I emailed Nannu again questioning why I had received this threatening letter since there was no communication from them. Yet again, no response. I received another letter in the mail (dated 12/16) from Collect Park threatening legal action if I don’t pay the $50 fee within 30 days of receiving the notice. I’ve tried multiple times in good faith to resolve this issue, but have received no response from Professional Parking Services since sending all of my receipts and proof of payment. I’m willing to work with them to get this situation resolved in a fair and reasonable manner. I don’t think the threatening letters and $50 charge is warranted as I have reached out in a timely manner several times to resolve this.

I am sorry for the "spotty" communication. I have looked again and it appears your follow-up emails ended up in SPAM. Please mail a check for $25 as I have updated everything in the system and informed our 3rd Party partners.

On Sept 8, 2022, I had a dinner meeting at 6pm at the Ave Restaurant in Grandview. I parked in the lot behind the restaurant at approximately 5:35pm, although there were no signs indicating how to pay for the parking in the spaces where I parked, I had to walk down to where I could see the CR code and try to pay for the parking, since I did not have an account with Professional Parking services I had to go through the exercise of establishing an account in order to pay with my Visa card which I did via phone call, while I was opening the account the lot attendant ticketed my car, when I saw this I approached him told him what I was doing about paying but he told me it was to late, this was 5:39pm and I would have to call the office to dispute the ticket which i did, they told me to file a written complaint which I did later that night. The charge for the parking hit my Visa at5:56 pm. After the initial email response from PPS telling me what to send them, I could get no more responses until I just received a letter stating I now owe $40 and my car will be impounded if I don't pay. PPS is a SCAM operation and I want them to stop harassing and threatening me for monies I don't owe them. Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Please feel free to send additional information to ***************************** for further review (ParkMobile receipt that shows the vehicle plate information, date and time) as well as the violation number.

I am a little concerned to here you believe we are a scam. We provide parking management services for lot and garage owners and do not rely on income from violations to sustain our business - we are simply enforcing procedures that have been put in place for each of our accounts.

I encourage you to forward all pertinent information to the email listed.

I paid for parking at GV Big Lot on 7/7/22 but had the wrong license number in the app on my iPhone. (I have two nearly identical SUVs.) I notified the company and sent them a copy of my payment. They rejected it saying essentially I could have had two cars in the lot. Here is their message: "Thank you for submitting your violation dispute. Unfortunately, your dispute was not accepted. The staff member reviewing your dispute noted: There is no way of knowing if both cars were parked in the lot at the same time. Park mobile asks you to confirm license plate prior to submitting. Ticket stands Violation #000-008-012 has been upheld and is now due. Please visit our payment portal to resolve your violation. If you have any questions, please contact Professional Parking Services. Do not reply to this e-mail, as it has been sent from an unmonitored address." These people are insane. They send messages about impounding your vehicle if you don't pay their now $50 dollar balance. I'll see them in court.

      Business response

As stated in the original dispute response, we truly have no way to determine if the vehicle listed on the ParkMobile app was also not parked in the lot - no surveillance. ParkMobile, before starting any session asks that all information is correct, including the vehicle plate information. Please feel free to email ***************************** if there is anything we have missed or there is more information that was not submitted during the original dispute.

      Professional Parking Services LLC
      490 City Park Avenue
      Columbus, Ohio 43215

      Dear Sirs,

I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Columbus because you are operating a business with terrible business practices that need to stop.

I parked one of my Mercedes SUVs in one of your lots on July 7th, 2022 (Zone 96102), paying for the space using the app on my iPhone.  Unfortunately, I selected the wrong car in my app, and your personnel ticketed me.  I have three of my vehicles listed in my app.  I am a frequent user of your services and wrote to you explaining what had happened.  I didn’t hear anything for a while until I received a “Final Notice to Avoid Vehicle Impound,” with a balance due of $40.00.  I disputed the charge and explained once again what happened.  I also forward the dispute to the BBB.

Your answer to the BBB request was that you don’t have video surveillance, and I might have had two cars parked in the lot.  What a ridiculous response.  I spend hundreds of dollars a year with your firm.  Do you think I might park two vehicles and only pay for one?  Do you think I would try to avoid a $6.35 charge?  You are mistaken if you think this is any way to run a business.

And now you have turned this over to a bill collection agency?  Are you insane?  I demand that you correct this matter immediately.

      Sincerely,
