I telephoned Dayton Door Sales (DDS) and scheduled an appointment to repair the overhead garage door opener on a rental property. The wall button will produce a click sound and fail to open the garage door. The service call will be $130.00 plus additional charge if parts are required. DDS employee arrived 12-22-2021. The first test did not work. Prior to conducting second test, I request quote for new opener Installation of memory board in current model will take days to order and install. Employee mention if I move forward with DDS installation with new opener, the service charge will follow with new opener. My decision, purchase DDS new opener. Installation date 12-27-2021. Billing statement after install is not correct. I took the bill to DDS office and met with (3) office employees. Employee 1 mention a credit should apply (receipt did not reveal a credit). Employee 2 mention the billing process can be difficult to track. Employee 3 mention the service call is divided into parts or sections. DDS has been in business many years. I'm sure this is not their first opener install and billing statement. I'm 100% confident DDS over billed me for service. A copy of my bank check and payment entries enclosed. A copy of chart/payment summary mailed to DDS on 12-27-2021. To date 1-29-2022 no reply from DDS. I request my over payment returned and detail how DDS calculate the billing statement.
