      I am only giving AES “Customer Experience” one star because there is not an option to give them zero stars. zero stars is what they really deserve. I suspect that the 105 Customers (out of 109 total) that also give a one star review feel as I do.

      AES Customer service is horrible. They have given me the wrong information 3 times. Put a request in for a double charge they had taken from my account. Called 4 times, 10 days apart for the first 3 because of the info they gave me. Each "confirmed" I had put in a request, and gave me different info each time. The first lady said 10 days and it will be back in your account. Waited 10 days. Money not there. Called again, this lady says it's actually 10 days from the previous 10 as it has to be verified by their bank. Can't get all my money back now because it's a new billing cycle and it took the extra I had in there. Whatever. Sucks but I still need the remaining money for other bills. So she says I'll get it back in my account in those next 10 days. Called again cause my money still isn't there. This new lady says it's gonna be a check in the mail. First time I'm hearing this. Supposed to be in my account, now it's in the mail. I waited the 5-10 business days. Called on the 13th business day as it had still not arrived. I'm so annoyed of waiting I called to void the check now and keep it in my account. This gentleman now says there had been no requests for this refund..... Same account, nothing changed. Request confirmed 3 times and apparently never there. My advice, keep the extra money there. At least you know your next bill is covered somewhat. Not worth the ignorance and hassle of AES Customer Service. Should be called AES Customer Disservice.

      Been trying to get power at my house for over 5 months. I have done everything they have said to do. But now they have internal and external excuses! Worst business ever!

      HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! On hold for 90+ minutes then get some bullshit answer and that they will have to call me back which NEVER happened!!! Neighbors had electrical work done and the dumbass contractor dug under my fence and left all cables laying in my yard and it is for Neighbors service. Can not get anyone from AES Ohio to figure this out or give me an explanation as to why they cut power to the wrong house then leave live wires laying in the wrong yard for 3 days now?? Something needs done about this piss poor company

      They are the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. Their customer service is horrible. After weeks of trying to turn on power it finally happened. Good luck trying to setup you account on their website. That does not work either. I would give them less than one star if a could.

      AES has not fixed our electricity outage in four days. I informed them that there is an oxygen machine user on site as well as two people in their 70’s and they don’t even have an estimate on when we will have power. Yet they got McDonald’s and Burger King up and running yesterday. When I started to complain about the lack of information and the fact that this is taking too long “Hannah” dismissed and hung up on me. I did not raise my voice nor did I use foul language.

      Christoper Campbell Lost power on a Friday at around 12:30. Tried call the 24 hour call in line to talk to someone to get a good eta when the power would be back on . No one answered my call from Friday to Sunday. Finally got ahold of someone Monday morning around 8:30 , ask for a good eta on line repair so I would have power , lady stated she has no eta and if it that big of a deal I should go to the homeless shelter or go to a hotel . Called again the same day around 3:30 to maybe get some information about time or if they are getting closer. The guy one the phone pretty much said deal with it , we will get there when we get there . Probably will one of the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I’m truly not sure how this company stays in business with how they treat there customers .

      I have a pregnant wife 8 months to be exact. This recent storm blew our tree over ripping the power lines from the utility pole. She and I have called several times to inquire an ETA only to be lied to or be snubbed by their customer care team. They told me we were last on their priority list because we are a single home without power in our community. I believe we pay our bill like everyone else. Raise our rates and treat us like we are not paying customers. I have saw countless utility service trucks just sitting at gas stations waiting to be dispatched, and have spoken to a few of them only to be treated poorly as if I was talking to customer service. Shame on you AES. I understand both sides of the fence however, you are really poor at making me as a customer feel the same as your other customers. I am a very dissatisfied customer….

      Aes is scamming customers my bill has tripled since aes took over I have tried to talk to them about this they told me pretty much you have no choice this is what it is I payed an electrician to check my wattage and Amp draw and he said no way . They charge you for size of you house . Now today we have been out of power for 3 days dou to a storm they said they sent all the crews south and can't restore our power and have no eta we have lost all our food I am going to send them a large bill for it since this was there decision to not care about there customers.

      This is the most unprofessional undesirable power service known to humanity! 36+ hours now with no power. 60$ in gas spent so far on keeping my generator running, with more to be spent due to no time frame of power service to be restored. Haven't seen 1 work truck or linemen anywhere in the neighborhood. I did see a lot full of parked trucks at the AES hub tho! This service is terrible and way overpriced for the garbage they provide..
