Stanley Steemer came out today to clean the ducts in my house. The gentleman suggested an air freshener for $105.00. I agreed. When the job was done, the air freshener was priced at $150.00, I was told that I just misheard him. The job was done, what could be done? After they left, I saw that there was a bathroom on the first floor that was not cleaned. When I went upstairs to put furniture back in place, there were shoe prints on the nightstand. They use the nightstand to reach an air return.Review from Upset C

Stanley Steemer technician *****, came to do service at my place of residence. Before starting my service he asked if I wanted the deodorizer sanitation applied to my service, I told this man no I did not want the service all I wanted was just a steam clean, he proceeded to do it anyway with my permission, later to find out on my receipt sent my email he over charged me for service I didnt ask for. I called the company and spoke with a ***** ******* to resolve the matter , and requested a refund for the additional service which was not ask of. ***** never reached back out. He supposedly touched bases with his tech about the additional fee,And told me it was an extra line his tech input, but still got over charged. These people took my money and not trying to give it back, on a service I didnt ask for . I will not recommend this company to anyone go somewhere else, because they will rob you blind by overcharging you with extra service, and dont want to comply with the customer when they were in the wrong.Review from Justin L

Tracked mud into the house and all over the carpet and stairs to then 'clean; the carpet. I had a fit and the branch manager ****** on the phone tells me its policy to wear the boots ind=side so they don't slip. MUDDY BOOTS???? how about a second pair for inside the home brainiac. ********* company. Unreliable. They showed up to do the work and decided they couldn't do it. Then promised to come back later in the day, which they never showed up. Manager got on the phone and denied the whole conversation ever happened. I would not recommend working with them since there's no guarantee they will actually honor their commitment. I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH BBB ABOUT STANLEY *************************** IS BBBS RESPOND Your BBB has tried to present your complaint to Stanley Steemer Carpet Cleaner in an attempt to resolve this matter to your mutual satisfaction. Unfortunately, despite our efforts, we have received no response to your complaint. STANLEY STEEMER CAME TO SHAMPOO MY CARPETS ON 05/24/24. WHEN THEY LEFT THE CARPETS WERE BUCKLING. IMMEIATELY, CALLED STANLEY STEEMER & WAS TOLD TO WAIT A FEW DAYS. TWO DAYS LATER, STILL NO *************** ALSO NOTICED BLACK DIRTY WATER IN THE TOILET WHERE THEY EMPTIED WATER FROM THEIR EQUIPMENTS & CHIPPED TILE FLOOR IN BATHROOM. CALLED ON 05/27/24 TO FOLLOW UP ON MY ORIGINAL COMPLAINT ON 05/24/24 & ADDED THE DAMAGED CHIP TILE. AN APPOINTMENT WAS SET FOR RE-VISIT 05/28/24. STAFF SHOWED UP TO CLEAN THE CARPETS AGAIN. I TOLD THEM TO FIX CARPETS BULKLING & CHIP TILE. ONE OF THE STAFF SAID THAT IS NOT ON THE ORDER, HE CALLED THE OFFICE & SPOKE TO SOMEONE AT STANLEY STEEMER. Stanley steamer carpet cleaners is a scam. They refused to clean the carpet under my sofa, then strong armed/intimidated me into giving them a hefty "tip" even though I was extremely unsatisfied with the work. I called and asked Stanley Steemer to come out and give us a quote on cleaning our waiting area grout and to seal. Someone came out gave us a quote and an appointment was set. They came out a few days later and informed us they did not have the proper equipment to clean the floor because its marble. They should have known that when the quote was given.I called and called and got the run around. Agreed handshake deal changed after leaving my residence.My problem started when the two crew members attempted to clean my drier duck from the outside in. When they stopped they said it was clean. I have a 32' duct run from outside to the connecting duct that goes up and more forward and up again to the drier room. Then the duct work goes horizontally about 3 feet to the dryer. That last 8 feet did not get cleaned. And I disputed the $143.78 charge on my credit card. My credit card company made a deal with SS that I would pay $100 and they (SS) would wave the $43.78. A few weeks later the supervisor came and looked at the duct work and with a hand shake agreed to come back and clean the drier duct work from the dryer to the connecting duct for no charge. That did not happen. Apparently the supervisor was over ruled at the office and he sent me an email saying they could complete the job if I paid the $43.78. I never answered that email. I will never do business with this company again. First they were late to the first appointment, the supervisor was late to our follow up meeting and now the office called and said they were going to file a claim against me for the remaining $43.78. The Stanley Steemer Company (their Ft. *****, ** office) recently took one of my area rugs to their shop for cleaning. I was promised the rug back "no later than" 7/20/24. After five days later I still had not heard from them. So I called their Ft. Worth number and talked to a representative named *****. He said he was in a central call center rather than actually in the Ft. Worth location.. In my discussion with ***** about the delivery of my overdue rug I found him to be completely unhelpful and ineffectual. In fact, I don't think I've ever talked with anyone as unhelpful as he was. He did inform me the rug was in their "return bin" but he made no effort to schedule the return at any time I could be here to accept it. He offered no explanation why the rug was overdue, or why they had not gotten in touch with me to arrange it's return. He refused to let me talk to a supervisor, or the manager of that office. And the best he offered me was to return the rug in four more days. (That will be 9 days after the rug's promised return.) My wife and I have used the Stanley Steamer company several times in the past; we will never use it again, nor will we ever recommend it to any of our family or friends. We will be filing a report/complaint with the Better Business Bureau and several social media sites. And we will certainly share this disgusting experience with other people. Booked an appointment online. Didnt receive a confirmation or anything and when I call and finally reach someone, they dont have an appointment. ***** stated they dont control the website. Its your website. As I told her: have professionalism and accountability. You have neither nor competence! I will never recommend or use your services for personal or professional reasons.
