Salesman stated he was with IGS Energy and was affiliated with Columbia Energy and said he could sign me up for a better plan.Told him no. I contacted Columbia Energy who said they are not affiliated with them.Contacted police who sounded well versed in their sales techniques.IGS Energy Response

A salesman cam to my father's door and my father, with dementia told them that he cannot sign any paperwork and they would have to come by when I was at the house to go over it with me. They came back a second time when I was not there and talked him into signing with them for more than double of what the gas company was originally charging. Ohio needs to do something and put this company out of business as their target audience is clearly vulnerable adults.IGS Energy Response

They scammed me out of my money. They are tricky and got me to sign papers that I didn't realize was giving them acess to my banking account. They claim to help you save money on your power bill but that is not true. They charge you for them to pay a percentage of your power bill. When it all come down to it they don't save you anything. I can't believe ppl actually work for this company. Money is the root of evil.IGS Energy Response

I give a zero review? A salesperson ******* from ********* came to my door in **** from **** and promised me a lower rate on my electric bill. ******* is now unable to contact that voicemail is full. I called to cancel after looking at my bill and receptionist said there is a fee for cancelling. She also said I initialed a contract for a year that I never received. I explained that the *** they are charging is higher then I was paying before and my bill is almost doubled. I can't believe this business is even able to have a name and go door to door and openly rip people off. Shame on people that work for this companyReview from James S

IGS Energy arbitrarily raised its rate per unit by nearly 100% over other suppliers of gas during the winter months. The result was the highest gas bill ever received in February 2024. I immediately attempted to cancel their service. It is still not cancelled. This company is a total fraud.Review from Lee K

Scammers, pure and simple. My elderly mother and myself were straight faced LIED to by the saleswoman that came to our home. I never want to see this company on our property again or I will do the talking. Don't show them ANY BILL or sign ANY CONTRACT without reading the entire thing, ESPECIALLY the fine print!!IGS Energy Response

An *** salesman came to our home and promised their rate would be less than my current electric supplier. First bill comes and the rate is higher. I attempt to reach out for help and to resolve but no response. Now Im paying $149 to cancel IGS and switch back to my prior supplier, ******. My original rate with Dynegy is not offered now, so I have to take a higher rate - which is still lower than IGS. I feel swindled. Dont trust IGS to take care of you as a customer.IGS Energy Response

*ZERO STAR*Absolutely horrendous experience with IGS Home Warranty Sector. We closed on our property and were granted a home warranty as part of the closing process. This was October of 2023. Earlier this month I noticed a leak in the garbage disposal and did a quick estimate of the cost for myself to fully service the issue: $140. I was reminded that I had a warranty with IGS I should look to file a claim to have it fixed. I called to file and paid the $100 to file, my first mistake. It felt like a scam, but I was assured the 100 dollar claim fee would be the only thing needed to pay unless a $250 limit were reached. It was not entirely made clear the cost breakdown of the vendors labor and replacement of the unit (not to mention they were going to upgrade the disposal, something that did not need to be done.)*** called to confirm a $130 charge to have the plumbers in my condo uninstall and replace the disposal. I told them no, and I would not be proceeding with them. I had a call with the supervisor scheduled the next day but he did not return the call until a day later to sort out the details. The supervisor kept insisting on the out of pocket costs to the company and making sure the vendors were taken care of. Honestly, if I didnt know any better, I would think this company makes its profits based on the vendor satisfaction. There was sweet customer service speak used on the first call, then nothing but apologizing for the vendor. No refund granted, and still tried to retain me when I said i wanted to end the policy with a month left. Absolute scam of a company and I wish I never filed a claim. I ended up paying 100 dollars for plumbers to tell me my disposal was broken, and an added 130 for the job. Shame on you for not considering the warranty policy holder at all.Review from Gregory S

The IGS Energy was supposed to save me money. Instead the charges for "delivery" in the summer months were almost as much as my electric cost. I'd like an explanation as to how the cost was calculated for my July, August and September bills. I cancelled on July 30. When I called Ameren, I was told that the change would not take place till my October bill. I think that these companies should be banned from doing this to people.IGS Energy Response

Thank you, IGS charges for the usage, the Ameren charges the Delivery. You will always have Delivery charges. The billing is just broken out once with a supplier. With IGS energy you are able to lock in your supply price with Ameren will bill at the market variable rate price. Please contact us at ************ to review in more detail.
