I hired McKinney Concrete 2 years ago to pour a concrete pad next to my garage.Price was reasonable so I hired *****. After numerous phone calls I came to find out ***** subcontracted the work to another friend because he claimed to be too busy. The subcontractor told me he was completing jobs for ***** because he took on too much work and could not fulfill his agreements. The issue was ***** failed to coordinate with his friend to explain the contract for my scope of work. Bottom line is I received a concrete pad that held water against the garage, improper subbase prep, wire mesh laying on the ground instead of in the concrete where it belongs, too high a slump which resulted in excessive bleed water and scaling of the concrete surface after 1 yr. numerous cracks throughout due to improper base and concrete mix.I was quoted 4" of base and receive 2". I would not recommend this company to anyone and would not be suprised if McKinney Concrete is still in business.

There was never a formal complaint made to McKinney Concrete, LLC about any of these accusations. Not even an email. McKinney Concrete, LLC is not in business any longer, however the contractor that did the work is based out of ******, **. Without trip tickets from the batch plant there is no way to know how exactly what the slump of the concrete was leaving the cause of the scaling to be unknown as it could have come from salt use from winter if the concrete was not sealed by the homeowner. In addition, the homeowner has no idea what wire is in the concrete as there could have been extra laying outside on the ground, this concern was never brought to mine nor Aura Concretes attention. I will find the photographs I have of the day the concrete was poured to show a lack in excess bleedwater as if that were the case you would be able to see in the pictures. The bottom line here is that these accusations come 2 and a half years after it was poured, with no report, photographs, nor evidence that support what he is saying. For reference, Aura Concrete in ******, ** was the named subcontractor on that job. Again, McKinney Concrete, LLC is no longer in business, and has not oeprated since November of 2019.
