I purchased haunted house tickets for $120 on 09/21/22 and the event was held on 10/22/22. The event was falsely advertised and the experience my group had was very unprofessional and not what was promised. I have screenshots of reviews that describe the experience (that are now deleted by the business) showing what we experienced is not what the business was advertising. After attending the event and not being satisfied, I contacted the business and asked what the refund policy was on 10/26/22 because there was no refund policy stated in my confirmation email, my update emails, on the event website (which is now taken down) or their normal business website. The employed took down my information and told me I would receive a refund in a couple business days. After a week, I still did not receive a refund and called back on 11/02/22. I talked to the same employee and they informed me that I was not allowed to receive a refund, I could only get a gift card for the value I spent. I asked to speak with the owner and they promised to give me call. It has been two weeks now and I still have not received a call or refund. I have both phone conversations recorded. I do not understand how a business that does not state a refund policy at time of purchase, on their website, or that their employees are aware of, can all of a sudden have a policy after they have been receiving complaints. Again, I have my emails saved and no where does it state any refund option is a gift card. I live over an hour away from the establishment and only went for the haunted house. I did not pay for any product or service that the business currently offers and is trying to give me credit for. I paid for a service that is no longer available. I have no reason to return to the establishment in the future. I would like my money back due to the false advertisements and poor management regarding my situation. I do not appreciate the lie or the attempt at turning me into a returning customer. Thank you.Initial Complaint

• I bought my ticket to the event June 11th, 2022 • I paid 40 dollars for the ticket in which they said they would mail to me the beginning of October, they did not. They sent me a link for my ticket a week prior to the event. • They said that the event would have animatronics, be themed as the Five Nights at ******'s pizzeria, a jungle gym to climb through, a ball pit, and that each group would be the only be people within a 50,000 square foot place (without the employees being included). None of this was the case, they said it wouldn't be a 5 minute haunted house walk through which it was. People made it through in 10 minutes at most and the only thing that was actually at the event were people in crude outfits of the actual horror aspect they were going for, a very poorly done maze, pizza stickers on the wall, and a code to find to get out of the event. None of the other things they Advertised was actually there what so ever. False Advertisement and Scamming is the problem here, they also said anyone who didn't go would be eligible for a refund but when asked they would block your account. My knowledge of the event comes from a friend who went prior to my date I was suppose to go along with a great deal of other angry and upset customers. • From this Dispute I would like Jurassic Mountain to give me a refund.Initial Complaint

Jurassic Mountain created a haunted house event that was falsely advertised and when met with multiple complaints from multiple patrons they refused refunds or accountability to complaints. They advertised the event to be a pop culture themed haunted house with 50,000 Sq ft to explore with interactive areas that included slides, a playroom, ball pit, vents to crawl through, and a maze. After finding out the only attraction they had was the maze with children for scare actors standing around the maze, my friends and I all felt the $50 per ticket was a scam. We also had to wait 2 hours after our ticket time slot to even gain entrance to the maze due to the owners neglegence of over booking the time slots, which staff members had admitted to us. When we confronted Jurassic Mountain they told us they were only the venue and the event was not theirs however they personally advertised it as their event and confirmed tickets through their personal email. They also stated we wouldn't be given refunds because quote "it's no different then going to a movie or an amusement park and being disappointed because the movie didn't live to the trailer or your favorite ride at an amusement park was closed that day". They also claimed they provided everything they advertised. Jurassic Mountain has also not only turned off comments on their ******** page due to complaints flooding in they've also been deleting reviews on ****** to hide their shame. They will not apologize or offer refunds for more than dozens of unsatisfied patrons and do not need to host anymore unlicensed pop culture events due to their unprofessionalism and shady business practices trying to hide the complaints.Initial Complaint

The business is hosting a haunt in which they claimed it to be and have many things there for the price of 50 dollar tickets they said we’d be crawling through vents that we’d be in ball pits , slides and so forth but that didn’t happen at all they over sold the tickets knowing it push back the “time slots “ by two hours. There haunt was unsecured where two children just roamed in and messed around , their actors are 16 and under and one of them said they were not being paid, they refuse to refund anyone and bluntly lied saying it was a third party running The event yet said they to other customers they were running it laughing at people on how much they spent there maze was unsafe the ply wood was unfinished I had gotten a splinter dying my time there in the dark with a broken light they gave me . They are scam artist and need to be looked into
