Davis concrete did a barn floor for us. He told us he needed to do the job in small sections due to the size of his company. We told him this was no issue as long as it was done properly and professionally which he assured us it would be. At the end of the job it was obviously sloppy and unprofessional in multiple areas with the finish but we did not know it was deeper than that and paid him. We accepted the finish was not great based off previous jobs of his we had seen but needed to move forward with the barn. The next issue was a chunk of concrete that popped out of the floor. This was obvious and he should have caught this when he did the next pour. When we found the issue we reached out for him to fix it only to be ignored. We made multiple attempts to reach him with no return, others even addressed him that he needed to contact us with still no response. When getting quotes to finish the job he was not welcome back to do, we found out how bad the entire job had been done. There was no pinning or improperly pined between the different pours. Several companies and contractors all reported this as shady workman ship and that it was purely lazy. At this time we reached out to Davis concrete again by letter with intent proceed legal action if he did not attempt to fix our issues. At this point he did reach back out to us and came out to inspect the issues. He agreed there was some issues and made an offer to replace a very small part if the concrete. We made him a counter offer by phone which was more concrete and fixed more of the issues he had created. On the phone he said he would be out again to make sure we were both on the same page and indicated that a compromise was reached. The compromise did not fix all of the barn but fixed most of the issues and did not "break" him as he is a small business. He reached out one time when we were unavailable then never tried again. We called him after a few weeks to see why he had not come out to do the job or look further into it. He then reported that he now felt the repair was "not fair" and he hung up on us when attempting to speak further as to the professionalism of himself. He was given 120 yards of concrete to work and we feel it was not "fair" that he messed it up and will not own his mistakes Our barn is open to the public part of the year and out of the hundreds of people that came to the farm this year Noone was impressed with his work. Many even questioned if I had done the job myself given how poor it was. I will say his crew was friendly and the owner gave them no assistance during the process of the job
