I ordered windows and doors on 3-26-22 and paid deposit of 6437.08. I gave them measurements of the windows, some were to be sized to fit in existing windows, some are new openings. they told me they would come to my house to remeasure for accuracy. So the windows would fit properly. They came and discussed then new openings size of doors and windows. Also remeasured windows to fit existing ones. They ordered them, and delivered on 8-19-22. On 8-22 we started removing old and installing new windows. We had to build down the openings 1.25 in on the bot***s and some 3/4 in on the side. Now most of our windows are smaller and more work needs to be done to finish the inside trim. A few windows fit properly and that is when i realized how BAD the others are. I contacted to discuss on 9-13 we sent text between us to explain the problem, also some other, billed for window tape, trim that was not needed. I was told that *** would be in contact. I contacted them on Oct 2 and *** come out on the 3rd, we discussed issues and he said no charge for the tape $107.25 and he would go to the office to see what adjustments they could make for the windows. Finally on 12-1 *** called, offered$150 reduction of total. I said not enough and gave a counter offer. They offered $300 on 12-6 I declined. The window manufacturer say 1/2in, Moeller said 1 in less than the rough opening should be the replacement size. The windows could not be installed without modification. My offer is $200 per smaller window, 12 of them $2,400 and tape and returned trim $215.97. total $2,615.97 reduction in balance due $7,348.07. New balance due $4,732.10. could exchange the 2 windows not installed for the proper size. I just wanted the windows to fit correctly.
