    I recently booked a stay for 5 people via the Bonvoy app. We arrived after midnight having just finished a full day at nearby Cedar Point theme park. Once to our room, I noticed it was 2 queen beds, no pullout. I went to the front desk to explain that I reserved a room for 5 and even paid the $30 "extra guest fee" via the app. I asked if I could have a different room and was advised all rooms were booked. I then asked for a roll-away bed and was advised they do not have those. I then explained that I had 4 teenage girls with me and we did not have enough room to sleep. I was simply told that I had reserved a two queen room and that's what I got. I was then told it "wasn't their problem" and that "we have 5 people sleep in two queen beds all the time." I asked to speak with a manager and was advised they come in the morning. When I asked what time they arrive, the she looked me in the eye and said "whenever they get here." I honestly can't remember having received worse customer service at a hotel. After getting very frustrated, I went back to the room and explained to the girls that 3 of these adult-sized teenagers would have to share a bed. After little sleep in our tight quartered $220 room, I went down in the morning to speak with the manager and was met with the exact same lack of empathy. I was simply told again that it wasn't there fault that I reserved the wrong room. Even though I repeatedly explained that I chose 5 people, paid the extra 5th person fee, and they COULD NOT accommodate that request. Never once did someone offer so much as a discount on the room. Truthfully, even if it was completely my fault, a good business would seek to help a loyal customer. Especially over a couple hundred dollars. I have since called Marriott Corporate office and have been credited enough points for a free stay. Corporate explained that, under no circumstances should a room be rented out to more people than the hotel can actually accommodate.
