Redeemed Path has offered me another chance to work with Mr. Amison. Knowing him from his work with youth, I initially boxed him in to only working with youth, even as a life coach. I didn't think about working with him as an experienced, professional adult until I realized he was already coaching me as a parent to one of his youth program participants. I once read that a great Life Coach is positive, observant, non-judgemental, honest, and passionate. Great Life Coaches listen exceptionally well, challenge your perspective, ask great questions, and have honed their listening ear. Mr. Amison offered that to me before starting Redeemed Path. No matter the area of life a person meets him, that version of Mr. Amison shows up. Within Redeemed Path, we have worked towards taking action. We have organized and prioritized according to my goals, strengths, and opportunities. Some of those were ideas and realizations I'd long hidden from myself. Sessions create the space to be vulnerable, authentic, and transparent - knowing there is a listening ear to help ensure accountability. Some days, I riff endlessly. But once I have finished, he's synthesized my sentiments so we can package it into something actionable. While our initial coaching engagement is not complete, I see the value in the relationship and envision extending it as I meet and evolve my goals.
