Battle Creek TA yesterday on August 17, 2024. Receipt # ********* ******** ** **** *** I went to the counter and pre-paid $40 for DEF. I explained I had problems across at the ***** station and was peed off about it. I'm new at this and there's a system there to make it work. So, I said "let me try TA across the road. I had just driven 25 miles to get DEF fluid for my truck. I am a local driver and need this for my new truck. She told me there won't be any problems here and that she would turn the pump. I went to pump #2, it turned on and pumped a whopping .38 cents and then the pump stopped. I walked back in and told her what happened. She said "Oh, I'm sorry let's try it again, but you will have to pay another $40. I paid again then I went out and it pumped .15 cents and the pump stopped. I went back inside and told her it stopped again. She said "that's so weird, lets try another pump, but you will have to pay another $40.". I straight out asked her "are you turning the pump off on me". She said "no, I would never do that". She was standing with the same guy and I was thinking they are screwing with me because they know I'm already upset from across the roads experience. I paid again for the 3rd time and drove my truck around to pump #7. It worked!! I walked in and used the bathroom after filling up Diesel at the ** section. As I left I yelled over "#7 worked". She said "I'll get #2 looked at". I thought, so will I. Here I am. I hope someone checks into if I was being screwed with? I was already upset that I had to leave ***** to drive across to TA which I thought I'll start coming there instead if I can get in and out easier. Well, pumping three times and driving my truck to two different pumps is not easier. It's kind of funny if she was intentionally turning the pumps off, but to add to my frustration which was already obvious was not warranted.TravelCenters Of America Response

Lost my business permanently. Stopped to pick up dinner. Son had a pickup truck with trailer. Lady at Blue Badger pointed where he could park so he could order and get food to leave. Left and had a ticket. This is just bad business. Local residents. Will not stop again. Ordered 70 dollar dinner for a 50 parking ticket. Is this even legitimate?TravelCenters Of America Response

The T/A truck stop in Monroe Michigan the manager had the air conditioner so high that people were leaving and when they asked him to turn it off he just acted like he didn't give a dam. Pretty bad when your customers get treated with such disrespect. I know driver's who won't go to this T/A because of this manager and the way he is allowed to run this truck stop. In today's economy you would think T/A hi the er ups would put a stop to this but they prefer to not do their job and let this go on.TravelCenters Of America Response

Went for an oil change. I have a new model truck and was told I would need to buy filters at a dealership. I spent over $300 on the filters. When the oil change was done I noticed on the reciept that I had been charged for oil filters from TA as well. When I brought it to their attention I was told that the filters came as part of a package deal and could not be taken off the price. I offered to just take the filters they had charged me for but they were not willing to do that either. If you go to this shop I would keep a close eye on things, and check your reciept carefully. Dishonesty in one area likely bleeds into others. The mechanics seen like good enough people, but I wouldn’t trust the business any further than I can throw their building.TravelCenters Of America Response

They are charging for truck parking that are not even marked. Potholes everywhere. Super bad service. But management know all this. These potholes took at least 10 years to become like that, who are they trying to fool ??TravelCenters Of America Response

I went to the location at: *** ** ******** ***** ******* ** It’s a horrible experience every time. I’ve been harassed by a short lady with glasses on 06/08/24 around 17:40. I went to use the restroom and quickly picked up food. I pulled up behind a semi truck pumping fuel. No more than 5 minutes with the same lady who harassed me the time before started to harass me again. I brushed her off, and she threatened me with a ticket, “banned” me from the store, and threatened to call the police when I went back in to get my keys that I left in the bathroom. When I called to get a corporate number from a manager, she was on the other line, and they put her on the line where she expressed that there was no corporate. This is ridiculous. I wasn’t hostile, violent, or mean. I was just doing what every other truck driver has done and is doing.TravelCenters Of America Response

Stay away from this store. Due to incompetent mechanical work from you guys i had to spend money again. There mechanics were not sure about the work did on my truck and service manager ( Dave ******** even told me to show the truck to my mechanic once i reach Canada and you even stated that you are not a mechanic and a service manager here in the location and you do not know from where the leak is coming up. There master mechanic was not even able to figure out from where the leak is coming and they were just guessing out its coming from thermostat etc.I when i reached canada dave called me and I stated to Dave that i have dropped my truck at my mechanic and the mechanic will check and will work on the truck and let me know. My mechanic told me who so ever worked on the truck did not fixed the lines properly which is connected to radiator due to that this whole problem arised. Due to your negligence and poor, underrated mechanical staff the leak came from my truck and i lost my precious time and money and even could not work for those days. This is not at all acceptable with such a poor customer service from you which led me to be out of my money.TravelCenters Of America Response

Ta and PETRO are the worst truck stops around most of them are so gross anymore. They don’t clean the showers the towels stink. The fuel islands are always half blocked off, the pumps leak the key pads don’t work right. The reserved parking is ridiculous don’t drivers pay enough that they shouldn’t have to pay extra to park and then if you do they don’t always check so if you get there late and they’re full they don’t make the trucks that didn’t pay move. For the new rewards “you asked we listened” is BS why would anyone ask for the gear to change from 500 to 750 points and now you can only get 1 credit per day when you could get 2 before and if your a team you can’t use 2 showers in 1 day when you can go to loves or pilot for 50 gallons and get as many showers as you want per day and the new stores are nice and clean. As for platinum members you use to keep 10 showers that never expired I know they changed that awhile back to now only good for 10 days but that’s the only reason we kept the platinum status there’s no reason to have it now I don’t care about the gears and when you reach another gear your extra points don’t count toward the platinum status and if you get fuel more then (now once per day) you won’t get those points either so good bye ta/petro we were hoping that when ** bought it things would change but it doesn’t seem that wayTravelCenters Of America Response
