As of July 21st, 2022, the business responded stating that they have planned improvements to their automated phone system, expanding staffing for customer service, and is exploring adjustments to their hours of operation. They did not comment on the exact problems causing the pattern of complaints.

            "In July, 2022, the BBB investigated WithU Loans business practices. This investigation was prompted by a large volume of complaints. Concerning high interest rates and depositing loans into consumers account without them inquiring about a loan with this business. On November 8th, 2022, the BBB sent an email to WithU Loans with the following questions


            1.) Can you tell me a little bit about your interest rates?


            2.) Consumers report receiving a loan from you business without inquiring about a loan. Can you tell me a little bit about these type of situations?


            3.) How can you deposit a loan into a consumers account without their knowledge or them agreeing to the loan?


            4.) How often are consumer required to pay an installment?


            5.) Can a consumer request their installment be due on a different date?


            BBB did not receive a response. Based on the information detailed above, BBB cannot state with confidence that we have a clear understanding of the business model. "

            I had applied for a loan with WithU Loans. I signed forms agreeing to the terms and the amount they accepted me for. I put my bank information to have the funds deposited, however I received a call stating they could not deposit the funds because they don’t work with my specific bank and would need to send a check. I have not received any check. Now they are claiming that I am late on payments and owe them money when I do not. I have not received a DIME from them, so I will not be paying them anything. They are scammers and keep emailing and calling me for what they claim I owe. I want them to discontinue the agreement and quit harassing me with all the calls/emails.

            SCAM, preying on helpless people in financial stress. I borrowed $800 to help me move, finding out I am being charged $9 interest per day. I took the loan in August, have made like four payments of $170 and then find out today, my balance is still over $800 ($814) so nothing I have been paying has been going to the principle amount. ****. BBB HELP.
