    I really struggle with giving a poor review. I want to like places and think Im super understanding having worked in customer service for years and with health insurance even longer given chronic health issues. The customer service was really good to be honest! I was able to crack jokes and have fun. My issue is that I was blindsided with an undisclosed fee after getting back to the appointment room. I have ******** and did a lot of research into what benefits were offered with my CCO. I made an appointment a handful of weeks ago where I explained I was looking for contacts and they verified my insurance. There was no disclosure of direct costs. When I checked in, no disclosure of additional costs. It wasnt until the tech, who was super sweet, was talking to me after I waited in the exam room for a half hour that it was disclosed that there was a rather high fee for contact lenses fitting. For most folks it wouldnt be an issue but since Im disabled and have other health and living expenses its something I couldnt afford because I didnt account for it in my budget. Its not fair to blindside folks who have public healthcare while in the exam room with fees. Not everyone is able to say no and stay firm with their boundaries. This is a super poor business practice that forces people into paying for things they may not be able to afford. Im sorry ******** Physicians but this is a practice you need to address and develops a method of disclosing costs at the making of the appointment so your customers can make informed decisions.
