Affordable Decks had installed a wooden deck for us in 2013. The deck is still under warranty. We have had a few boards rot so bad that they bend when weight is applied and will snap off soon. They are all around the stairs presenting a huge safety hazard. We have been in contact with Affordable Decks since April of 2021 and have not made any progress in getting this resolved. Our complaints were ignored (no returned phone calls or emails) from April through November 5th, 2021 when I sent a video of how bad the damage is. Once they realized, they seemed to engage with the lumber company (by having us file a formal claim through them) but no progress has been made in the past 3 months. I am escalating this to the BBB because we are stalled here and need the wood replace before someone is seriously injured.Business response

We have located the missing paperwork and submitted it to the warranty company on behalf of *** * **** ******. Dianne F****** at Arxada has offered $260 to resolve the issues with the rotting wood decking and we are proceeding accordingly. We are ordering the new decking materials and have scheduled the repair of the rotting deck boards for the beginning of March when weather will be more favorable. I have attached the email correspondence with *** * **** ****** communicating this plan of action. Thank you!Customer response
