March 1st 2023 was the purchase date of my vehicle. I went to this car lot and told them that I need a reliable vehicle. I found one and the engine light was on. I told them I would buy the car if they fixed the issue. They said nothing else was wrong with it and that it was a great car and reliable.. they agreed that they would fix the vehicle if I put a down payment on the car. So I did with two hundred dollars. They called me two days later stating the vehicle was done. I looked and the engine light was off. I purchased the car. A day later the engine light came on and there was a loud humming noise. I contacted the dealership and they said they would fix everything free of charge. I brought it back and they changed the wheel bearings that were rusted out completely shot. They cleared the engine light without repair. I took the car and the engine light came back on. I called them and told them I wanted it fixed or I would contact you and the attorney general for coercing me to purchase the vehicle and not disclosing the problems with the car. I have a receipt for a warranty that’s 900 dollars. When I got the warranty receipt it said 680 dollars so they pocketed 220$ cash from that. The vehicle has a newer inspection but the back brakes and rotors are depleted and the wheel bearings they replaced were destroyed along with the engine problems. The belt under the hood smokes and smells when I drive. The car has electrical problems and the doors open and shut without being in the car or having it on. I had stuff in my trunk the other night and it rained and the trunk opened. The rain destroyed my belongings. I have three children and I spent every dollar I literally had for a reliable car and they lied to me and said it was and it wasn’t. They did not disclose the problems to me and this car is basically junk. I wouldn’t have bought it if I knew these facts. I am waiting on a response from attorney general and I contacted a senator who said to contact you.

      03/30/2023

This is in response to the complaint made by ******** *********  *** ******** purchased her vehicle on 3/4/2023 in cash and also purchased a warranty through GWC Warranty.  At the time she looked at the vehicle, the check engine light was on due to a gas cap issue.  This was corrected and the light was off at the time of her purchase.  Her significant other, Adam, had informed us on 3/8/23 that he believed the wheel bearing(s) in the back to be bad and that the check engine light was on again.  We asked him to bring it in so that we could take a look at it.  The vehicle was left with us on 3/18/23  and we replaced the wheel bearings with new ones purchased at O'Reilly Auto Parts and again took care of the check engine light.  He was advised that in regards to his power control module, he would have to contact GWC Warranty, as it should be covered in the warranty he purchased with them.  He made no mention at that time of any issues with any brakes or rotors, which had been replaced on 2/24/23 with parts also from O'Reilly Auto Parts, prior to *** ******** and Adam even inquiring about the vehicle.  Also, no mention was ever made regarding any issues with the doors/trunk opening by itself or any electrical issues.  The first mention of this was upon our receipt of the complain filed with BBB.  This vehicle was on our lot for well over a month and this never happened.  It was also test driven several times by others interested in purchasing the vehicle and by our mechanics and none of the issues *** ******** and Adam mentioned ever occurred.  At the time of purchase, *** ******** signed documentation acknowledging her purchase of the vehicle in As-Is condition.  We corrected each issue that was presented to us, while not being required by law to do so.  We kindly decline *** ********'s request for $5000.00.
