After a minor accident, this company was called by police to tow a small sedan (which was operable, but not legal due to headlight damage).The bill for a 3.8mile tow and 17 hours of storage was $720. Their itemized receipt is just full of absurd, extortionist charges: ACCIDENT TOW $295.00 (ok, sure)Night/Weekend/Holiday $50.00 Clean Up Debris $75.00 (didn't happen)Fuel Surcharge $75.00 (for 3.8miles??)Administration Fee $75.00 ACCIDENT STORAGE $75.00 x2 (calendar days)I would never choose to do business with them, but it wasn't my choice because the driver didn't know better in their shock after the accident.

********************* I can appreciate your frustration in having to deal with the aftermath of an accident situation .I am hopeful no one was injured . We have been providing towing services for a very long time with very few complaints. I am well aware of what it takes to keep my business functioning in the current economy and our pricing is consistent and in fact LESS than other emergency responding towing services in the area . The difference between a SCHEDULED tow and an EMERGENCY response tow is great. We must drop everything and respond immediately arriving on scene within 30 minutes. If the tow is scheduled we would perform the service within a reasonable time of usually several hours. The on site clean up was performed including spilled fluid reclamation [ there were 2 vehicles involved ] . We tow for several insurance companies and body repair shops. We see the invoices for similar services from other local companies and know that our charges are less. If you had an issue, all that you needed to do was express your concerns to someone at our office. We often make considerations to persons not covered by insurance or having financial hardship. My car broke down at the end of Sharpsburg, I called AAA immediately at 3:10, I was told that a truck would be there at 4:15. I told them it had to be sooner because of my location and to use Farras's since they were about a 1/2 mile away and that they were also AAA. It was said it would be an emergency call. About 25 to 35 minutes Sharpsburg police show up then Etna police and a little bit later AAA Ferra's truck arrives. The driver told me that my charges would be $225 plus mileage. The driver informed me that they had received a call from the county and that's why I had to be charged. It seemed unlikely to me that a call was made to Farra's from the county. I had AAA on the phone and they told the driver that I was a AAA plus member , In the end I had to pay $239 to have them release me car. They are a AAA service company and I am a AAA member,. I experienced a bad dealing with Farra's once before and have never been told a good report about them , Good judgment should be used before using this automotive company.

DO NOT USE!! ****** damaged my vehicle during transport and faked that it was there on the report to insurance and repair shop. Very dishonest and disappointing for a supposed A+ BBB business
