i purchased a gas leaf blower from Moseley Outdoor Power equipment and used a debit card to pay for it. The next day my bank account showed that Moseley hit my debit card twice. I called for resolution and spoke to ****** in the accounting department. She never owned up to processing my card for payment two times and instead blamed the credit card company. My receipt from Moseley says the total purchase was $205.19 but my debit card was for $213.38. ****** tells me that charge was for using my debit card to recover what the card company charges them. I was not informed before hand they would be charging me another 4% on my purchase and it appears they charged it on the purchase and the sales tax amount. Im not sure charging me this fee on tax is legal. ****** tells me the credit card company will reimburse me for the double charge but it will take three days.There appears to be some shady practices going on there. Double charging, adding 4% to the sale for debit card use. I was not informed they would do this. I suspect they pay the card company 2% and Moseley makes an extra 2% profit because i used a debit card. They took my money instantly but it takes 3 days to get my money back from the double charge. Buyer be ware!
