We contracted PHA Concrete for work at our residence - 1) extend driveway with a retaining wall and pour concrete 2) firepit paver area with retaining wall. They chose to perform the work themselves instead of hire the subcontractors who came to look at our property. There were numerous issues with the paver area, the pavers were pulled up and replaced multiple times. The roof on the pergula is bent. The pavers sank in several areas and sand was coming through the retaining wall. The driveway cracked significantly in several places - not small or typical cracks you often see in concrete. These are deep cracks 100% through the concrete, the concrete is coming apart in chunks, and retaining wall cement blocks are cracked 100% through. The retaining wall is not stable. The project began last week of June 2023. There was a 10 week period with no resolution before PHA Concrete hired a paver company to pull up and repair the firepit paver area. The wrong materials were initially used and were removed. The 3rd party hired to repair the firepit paver area was acceptional. PHA Concrete came onsight to look at the concrete driveway issues and stated they preferred not to pull the concrete up and would be back in touch within 2-3 days. That was 3 weeks ago. We have not heard anything else from PHA Concrete, they will not answer phone calls or texts. We have garbage and construction material in multiple areas in the backyard and driveway for months. While we all understand issue happen, it is how they are resolved. PHA Concrete has left us with a mess and a driveway / retaining wall that we now have to hire another contractor to repair / redo. They have abandoned the jobsite in shambles. Do not recommend, work is extremely poor quality and they do not complete what they are paid to do. They walked away. Disgraceful!
