West Texas Appliance was assigned to repair my washing machine through Assurant, an extended warranty company contracting with Lowes. I filed a claim with Assurant on 10/6/23, and confirmed receipt with West Texas Appliance. They did not return to repair the machine until 3/21/24, at which time, *** discovered that additional parts needed to be replaced, and he would order. Between that time and 7/24/24, I made at least five phone calls to the business, and most times I was told they would have to check the status of parts, and would call me back. I never received return phone calls. On 7/24/24, "******" told me that "*******" was handling my claim, and there was a "50/50" chance she would never call me back. ****** suggested that I should call her back after her vacation, and remind her of my request. She also advised that she sent *** a text message while we were on the phone, requesting information from him. I was given excuses for no contact, such as I didn't answer the phone when they called (no record of call on my call list), AT&T is a bad cell service provider, and "need to check with my parts man". As of 8/31/24, I have received NO contact from West Texas Appliance. On 7/29/24, I drove to Abilene, Tx and found that the business appeared closed. I have since confirmed business closure with the Abilene Chamber of Commerce and the Abilene BBB. To date, my machine has not been repaired. This is the only service provider allowed by Assurant; I'm sure they would like to know about this, and may have already paid West Texas Appliance for the service they NEVER provided. I have been dealing with West Texas Appliance on this matter for roughly eleven months, with no resolve. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced! I am asking that West Texas Appliance deliver on their contract, or resolve the situation in some other appropriate fashion.
