On 2/13/24, I sent a deposit of $7,000 to OMG Grills/Erwin Manufacturers for a mobile grill. They required half of the cost down in order to start making it. I took out a personal loan in order to start this business. I have been in contact with ******* Erwin during the whole process. Last week, ******* told me that the grill will be delivered on Wednesday. Then she told me Thursday, then she told me Friday, and then Monday. We'll, it's Monday, 4/22, and now ******* does not answer to text messages or phone calls. Since she cannot deliver on what she promised, I just want my money back.Initial Complaint

I purchased an out door grill from *** Erwin **** ************************ on 7/29/22 paid $3,133.50 which was half and the other half was to be paid once I picked up the trailer which the date estimated to be finish was 10/31/2022.In between the months of July and Oct I had very little communication with ******* one of the owners. I requested a refund from my bank because I felt that I was being scammed. I asked for pictures and picked out a color and I hadn't gotten a call or text back from *******. The bank issued the money back to me. The payment was then returned to *** Erwin after ******* disputed I filed the claim before the date of delivery. I originally told ******* that I was picking up my trailer and I did not want it delivered so that she could show me in person how to use the gadgets on the trailer and she agreed.******* promised that I would receive the trailer before Christmas as the deliver guy was to be in the are. As of today 1/18/23 the trailer and the driver have gone missing. ******* can reach the driver and doesn't know his current location. I have expressed to ******* that I want a full refund for the purchase plus the interest I have incurred since the transaction. She has sent me emails stating that she will give me my money back and I have yet to receive it.Initial Complaint

In mid September I began having conversations with the owner of outdoor mobile grills/Erwin manufacturing about getting a unit for myself to start a side business. After weeks of talking back and forth, I reached out to the owner of QUEEN CITY LAVA GRILL to see if OMG Grills were legit. He had many complaints about ******* and Erwin manufacturing but after everything was said and done he got his grill. He gave me the confidence to place the order although I figured the shipment would be delayed. On Oct 25, 2022, I sent Erwin Manufacturing $4350 and was told work on my grill would be started immediately. I told ******* to send me updates throughout the process which she did not. Then right before Christmas, I was being hounded for the other half so I asked for pictures. She sent what I thought was sufficient evidence that work on my trailer was being done so I sent the other half of the money, $4350. After waiting over a week, I had to initiate another email asking for updates only to be told its on its way and would be here Dec 31st. When it did not show up Dec 31st ******* stated her driver stopped in GA, only one state away from my location. My parents and I waited around all weekend only to learn that the driver got sick and hasnt responded since. I do not think there ever was a driver or that my unit was on the way as its easy to fake text messages and still no sign of my trailer. I reached out to another customer of OMG and she reiterated several complaints Ive seen/heard in the past. I want my trailer or my money back!Initial Complaint

We paid a 50 percent deposit in febuary for a custom grill. was promised it by the end of may. was told supply issue would hold it up until end of June. started calling and emailing . did not recieve answers until august kept texting and saying one more week then at the end of that week one more week. We have lost several thousand dollars in fees for festivals we could not attend because we dont have our equipment. below are the emails we sent and responses. We are working very hard to get your trailer shipped out and to you all. Yes, I agree, I would like to work something out with you all pertaining to the remaining balance on the trailer (offering a discount) for the extended wait time. Please respond to this email at your convenience, and we will get it worked out. We are hoping to have your trailer shipped out at the beginning of next week. I ordered a mobile grill on April 5, 2022. Paid $5,000 down. The estimated wait time according to the website is ***** days, allowing some additional wait time for delays due to the covid-19 pandemic. It is now September 8, 2022 and I neither have my trailer, nor adequate communication as to when I will receive it. It is near impossible to get a hold of *******, and when i have, I just get the run-around and bogus estimated deadlines. At this point, I just need a full refund. ASAPInitial Complaint

I placed an order with this company on October 25, 2021. Was told my order would take less than 4 months to complete. After receiving my trailer it was missing important components to operate food trailer. I ordered a trailer with 5 sinks, freezer, straight bar grill with cover, 4 hot box, 2 electrical plugs, and cutting voards and a flat grill. Trailer came on April 30th 11pm...and....I am short a freezer, grill is crossed bar not straight as ordered with a lid that goes up n down not a lid, no cutting boards, and my sink is missing a plug to keep water in sink. I also asked for whoever delivers to show me to show to operate trailer,, the guy who delivered knew nothing about what he was delivering yet alone to tell me how to operate it..My trailer is not in an operable manner for state to approve me to operate. I am not able to prepare foods or store stem properly I reached out to company on several occasions and now they have blocked me.Business response

Hello, I am sorry that you feel like we have blocked you, we have indeed not blocked you at all. The freezer was shipped separately and has been delivered to the customer since she has received her trailer. We built the trailer according to her invoice. We do not make 5 bay sinks on any of our trailers, just the 3 bay with separate hand washing sink , and that is what she ordered, as well as what is on her invoice. She does have 4 steam ***** on her trailer. None of our trailers come with steam pans or lids. That is an accessory that the customer purchases on their own. The grill that you are speaking of, the way our trailers are built, the lids cannot open backwards, they can only open up and down. I sent you pictures of how the grill worked before we shipped it out and you understood that that is how we had to do it. With the freezer sitting behind the grill, there is no way a lid can open backwards. It has to go up and down, and that was explained to you also. As far as the cutting boards go, we have changed all of our cutting boards to the stainless steel material due to health departments requirements. Also, since covid, the polyresin material has been next to impossible to get, so with the health department requirements as well as the lack of being able to find the material, it made since to go with a material that we could get in to be able to get the trailers out. She was sent pictures of the trailer before it shipped out and really loved the trailer. I hope this answers much of your questions, if I forgot anything, please do let me know. I am rejecting this response because she has not provided me with a tracking number for freezer nor have I received it.. pictures sent did not show trailer without cutting boards.. cutting boards are still in stores and available.. i would like to recieve money back at least for my cutting boards,freezer, and water sink plug plus installing. I did receive all 4 sinks ... no complaints there.. yes I do love my trailer but state will not allow me to operate food vending if it is not deem safe to prepare food and keep food cold.I am losing money each day In not able to operate it. I have text messages of her stating that she will check on items and now when I click on her page where I ordered it it says page unavailable (I have screen shot of that) and when I phoned her 6 times... no answer or return call. I just want my items, nothing more!!
If she had told me b4 hand about the cutting boards that would have been an issue because the swirls that are scratched in this metal is blinding in day time light..and yet alone I dont want metal scrapping in my food while cutting.. (she stated I can place my own cutting boards there) but just said that there are no longer available... which one is it. pictures of trailer I sent to be built did not show metal boards...and not to mention it was delivered at midnight and I started to reject it but was afraid u would recharge for shipping again.
I just want my items!! Stop scamming.If I get an attorney those fees, money lost, and flight will need to reimbursed
Please show tracking on items being delivered. Send me freezer and boards (4). Uploaded message I get when going to page and also last message I received stating she will check on freezer.

On November 29, 2019 ********************** Mfg. OMG Trailers debited my credit card for a down payment of $992. I was informed by ******* ********************** it was required to guarantee the sale price at that time. She informed me the deposit would be good until I was ready to pay an additional $3,970 to start building me a food trailer. Once I got the money together, I contacted ******* ********************** on May 7, 2020 to pay the deposit. She guaranteed me that the pandemic would not prevent them from completing the build out of the trailer. Unfortunately, I have been given many. many, excuses. From May of 2020 till November 2021. I contacted Ms. ********************** again and spoke to her and, this time I was told the trailer was ready to be shipped, the driver would be calling me with the time of delivery, and I would get my trailer by that weekend. To-date the trailer has never been delivered. I continue to leave her phone messages and Ms. ********************** has not replied or responded to any of my calls. I want my money back! I don't know what else to do. I can't afford an attorney and I also live out of State from where the company is located.Initial Complaint

Our company that is located in ***********, ** initiated contact with ******* of Erwin Manufacturing in February 2021. We provided a deposit on 2/23/2021 for a bbq trailer. After our original completion date was not met we spent months trying to obtain information regarding the trailer. We had an employee visit Erwin Manufacturing on July 14, ******************************************************** us finding out that the unit was still not finished. It wasn't until August 13, 2021 that we received pictures of our bbq trailer from Erwin Manufacturing. The trailer was delivered to August 24th by a third party shipper who could not provide us with a **** of lading or MCO as Erwin Manufacturing did not provide them with any documents. Upon inspection of the trailer we determined that there were several features missing. After delivery of the unit we spent months contacting Erwin via phone and email but our calls/emails went unanswered. It was not till February 1, 2022 that we were able to get in contact with ******* where she provided a discount on the balance of the unit and requested final payment in exchange for a MCO. Payment was provided immediately however since then we have not been able to get ******* to mail us a copy of the MCO which has prevented us from being able to register the trailer in CA to allow us to haul it on the road. We have sent several emails and called on multiple occasions requesting the MCO and were told that the document was mailed to us and were promised a tracking number but never received it. We also offered to pay for shipping with using our own ***** account however ******* will no longer answer our calls or emails. All we want at this time is the MCO to allow us to register the trailer and be able to properly haul it on the road.Initial Complaint

OMG Grills should not be able to operate in any capacity at this stage. They fail to communicate with purchasers and have zero transparency.Due to the A+ rating with the BBB, I decided to try OMG Grills to expand my small business. This was a terrible decision and I regret it. In August 2021 I made contact with ******* Erwin, who gave me a quote and assured that the job would be done by October 2021. The trailer was not done in October 2021, and the excuses began. I gave some ***** due to Covid and shipping issues, but it became a weekly burden starting in November 2021. In November, I would call weekly and ******* would say that she was waiting on "one" piece and that the trailer woukd be shipped by the end of that week. I would call again the next week, nd she was waiting on another "one" piece. This continued throughout November and into December. During my call on December 6th, ******* informed me that my trailer was finished and that she needed my address for shipping. She stated that it would be going out later today on the 6th of December or on the 7th of December. I never heard back and attempted to make make contact with the company via: phone, email, and ******** messenger. Phone calls are straight to voicemail, emails on the 10th and 15th are unreturned, and the ******** message unreturned. As it stands In currently out $3250 for my initial investment in the trailer. I'm also out of earned income due to cancellations of events, and damage to my reputation as a small business due to my inability to provide desired services.
