Worse experience ever with a security service provider I have been using HomePro since Ive lived in my house for over 5 years. A couple weeks ago, I received an error message on my HomePro mobile app saying there was a malfunction on connectivity to my outdoor light. I then received a similar error message about my thermostat. The HomePro mobile app recommended I enact a trouble shooting session via the app. I did this and the app stated the trouble shooting was unsuccessful and to call support. Meanwhile, the panel on my wall went black with only the red light on. Again, this happened after I performed the trouble shooting that the HomePro app ************** make a long story somewhat short even though it isnt, after 2 days of different call backs and at least 7 different agents including technical support, I paid $297.00 just to terminate my contract that I didnt even know I was on. They wanted to bill me $48.00 to come out and replace their panel because the testing and troubleshooting they attempted wouldnt work either. They were animate that I pay since it is my panel and own it. Even though it is out of warranty and the fine print states I own the wall panel, they are the only one that supports it, so really comes down to semantics. I had to pay the $297.00 because I was in the middle of an auto renewing one-year contract. I couldve paid the $48.00 to just get the new panel and wait until next year to cancel, but I paid out based on ************ careful with this company. No matter how long youve been a customer, when you finally need them, it comes down to the fine print and the dollar. Needless to say, I now have service with the competition.
