On 5/6/24 The business charges a mandatory $3.00 processing fee after I purchased a permit that costs $15.00. That was the first issue, the $3.00 fee. Secondly, I paid $15.00 through my bank on 5/13/24 to try to not pay a Junk Fee. I provided the property address for the property. The business applied the payment to a house I no longer own.When I called AJ False Alarm Program on 5/18/24, I explained to them that I am requesting a refund of $15 for the overpayment for one permit. I was told that the refund process would **** * to 8 weeks by ****** and that a ticket ****** Support Ticket was opened.When I called on 7/9/24 *** indicated that a 2nd internal approval process was not complete. I requested to talk to a supervisor who indicated that the refund of the check takes 10- weeks. I reiterated that I wanted my money refunded to me and provided her with my correct mailing address. I repeated the timeline and expectation that I should have the refund in my hand by 8/15/24.When I called on 8/15/24, the staff indicated that the approval had occurred for the 2nd level. However, AJ False Alarm Program based in ******, ***** closed the Support Ticket and did not mail me the refund for $15. The person said that he sent an email to Accounting. I reiterated to the person that I wanted my money back for the overpayment. He did not have a plan or process to ensure this. I suggested that I call back in 5 -days and I did.When I called on 8/20/24 after being on hold or 5 minutes each time or longer, AJ False Alarm Program indicated that the check had been mailed.9/10/24 I have not received my refund of $15 for the permit overpayment. I have contacted the business over 12 times and had many conversations with staff about returning my $15 for a permit overpayment.
