I filed a complaint with the *********** of ****** Examiners and with Small Claims against Dr ***** ***** (SS), Eldorado Smiles and A******* G***** (AG). I took my son on August 12, 2021, to Eldorado Smiles in ****** at the location of ********************* to the dentist and also inquire about braces. Dr. SS is the Dentist there and the franchisee for that location. On August 19, 2021, Dr. ** said my son would need braces, AG had me sign up for braces and a Braces Payment Plan. I made a downpayment on August 19, 2021, in the amount of $1,350 and then Eldorado Smiles began debiting my Credit Card every 15th of the month in the amount of $210.26. We had more visits and Dr. ** continued to tell me that my son had baby teeth that would need to pull before he was ready for braces. This continued through Dec 15, 2022. When I took my son in for his December appointment AG, requested my new insurance card and was about to charge. This is when I requested to meet the Orthodontist. It was at that time that Dr. ** told me that the Eldorado Smiles office did not have an Orthodontist. At that point I had paid $4,714.16. Dr. ** told me that I would need to take my son to Dr. SS sister office in ***** to receive braces. He said the balance paid would be transferred to that office. I scheduled an appointment and when I took my son there, they said they could not apply any of the $4,714.16. They said I needed to go back to Dr. SS to receive a full REFUND. They also said they had 63 other patients that Eldorado Smiles had done the same thing to. I immediately called AG with Eldorado Smiles and went to see him at his office. It's now been 6 weeks and both AG and Dr. SS say their LEGAL is looking at it. We fully believe Eldorado smiles committed fraud in charging my Credit Card for more than 16 months without having an Orthodontist on site. We filed claims and plan to exhaust all avenues to expose what Eldorado Smiles has done.
