I've had a horrible experience with Karya Property Management, all due to a dishonest, incompetent, and lazy Lindsay ********. After navigating through the application process and getting approved for a refurbished unit on March 26th, 2024, Lindsay ******** moved me into what was supposed to be a "move-in-ready unit" that in fact was not ready. I am not sure if Lindsay ******** is incompetent, lazy, or ignorant to what was going on with the supposed "move-in-ready unit" at the time, but she did not do her job properly. Lindsay never looked at the unit she assignment to make sure it was ready, because if she did, she would have noticed the paint spills on the carpet, toilet, and tile; She would have noticed the dead roaches and brown liquid in the kitchen and on the fridge; She would have noticed the gaping hole in the bathroom sink that spilled every drop of water onto the floor; She would have noticed the fact that the unit had NO AIR CONDITIONING. To make matters worse, Lindsay ******** abandoned me after emailing me and telling me she would release me from the lease after I emptied the apartment and returned the keys within 72 hours (I have a copy of our email thread). I followed her instructions, emptied the apartment, and returned the key, but I was never released from the lease. I never recieved my refund, and I've been billed so much that it is now affecting my credit score. I have a $2000+ account that went to collections and is now on my credit report. I've been patiently waiting for the corporate system to resolve the issue after I've done everything correctly, but nothing has happened, the system has failed, and now the customer who did everything by the book, is suffering. Overall my dealings with Lindsay ******** and Karya Property Management have left me abandoned with no money, no place to live, and a deficient credit score. I feel manipulated, disrespected, unappreciated, and misused. These dealings have had a profound negative affect on my life.
