            I purchased my home from Sumeer homes in 2015. I've had to habe my floors replaced 3 times due to buckling issues. We thought it was flooring but this last time we found extreme moisture coming from slab. So extreme that the red barrier that blocks all moisture was put down and it still is coming through. Due to this finding my flooring company will not put flooring down until issue is resolved. I've had a master plumber, hvac tech and foundation engineer out and they all agree that the builder probably did not install a moisture barrier blanket or punctured holes in the barrier. I would have had no way of knowing this. But it's so extreme that every part of my home is registering over the limit on a moisture machine. One of my children has asthma related conditions and had to be hospitalized and I am now thinking it may stem from this issue. I've contacted the builder and they keep trying to push me off on a 3rd party warranty company. When speaking to them they said I would have to pay 250 to start an investigation but it would only be for things like the foundation is falling apart not the issue I'm having. I am told to fix the issue we need to have dryers brought in to dry it out and install the red barrier again on all the floors in the home. I'm asking them to pay for that cost and make this right. I'm a single mom who doesn't get child support and I trusted sumeer to build me a quality home and I should not be having these issues. I'm asking someone to help me resolve this so me and my children have a safe place to live and I don't have more issue because of this.

            I'm having to hire an attorney bc I'm having moisture issues. My children are sick and I've had no floors on my house for months. Master plumbers and foundation engineers all agree they failed to put moisture barriers down and they refuse to do anything about it. They said they only cover 1 year warranty. How would I have know in a year that was done? Don't build with them. They are rude and horrible

            We have been in communication with ********************* in regard to the issue she is having at her home that closed 9 years ago. The moisture problem she is experiencing was first reported in August 2024, 9 years after her closing date. Sumeer Homes offers an industry Standard 1-2-10 New Construction Warranty for all homeowners. This warranty offers a 1 Year Warranty on Workmanship and Materials, a 2 Year Warranty on **************** (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, ETC.) and a 10 ************************************ and Load Bearing Walls) that is held by StructSure. 9 Years after closing, the only remaining warranty ********************* has on her home is the 10 Year Structural Warranty (held by StructSure). Sumeer Homes has had no involvement in the previous flooring issue as this work was done by a 3rd Party Contractor after closing. As for the "rude and horrible" comment, I am not sure what ********************* is referring to. I have personally been the main point of contact for ********************* and have expressed to her via email that 9 years after closing, the only warranty remaining on her home is the structural warranty. I have called ********************* multiple times to discuss the issue further with no answer, and all phone communication has been directed to her Fianc. It is Sumeer Home's recommendation that she submits a claim via her Structural Warranty (held by StructSure) as this is the only remaining warranty she has on her home.
