I had my vehicle towed to Clay Cooley Kia for some simple repairs earlier this year and was assigned to ****** *****. I got an email requesting I review and approve options for repairs. I approved some of the work, but not the full recommended list of work. I discussed potentially trading in the vehicle and spoke with someone who said he would provide me with a trade-in offer. I never received the offer. The last contact I received from ****** was a call asking if I wanted to move forward with the additional recommended repairs that I hadn't previously approved, or trade in the car as-is. I never heard back from the man they told me would give me a quote for the car. I had approved work to be done on it, but no work was ever completed. After not hearing anything from them for months, I called to check the status of my vehicle. ****** said they didn't know where my car was, but she said they'd try to locate it and would call me back. I had absolutely zero notice or warning my car would be removed from their service center to an unknown location. I now own a car that was possibly sold for parts and no longer exists. I placed multiple calls (***** times over the course of several weeks) to the dealership with promises of a call back. Nobody can find my car and nobody is calling me back. Now when I call the service department I can't get anyone to answer unless I call from a different phone number so it seems they're screening my calls. My case was assigned to a new person, ******, who is still not helping me locate the vehicle.Clay Cooley seems to have no desire to make this right, and I am out thousands of dollars. This has been an unimaginably horrible experience, and I recommend staying far away from Clay Cooley Kia in Irving!Clay Cooley Kia Response

Customer originally brought in vehicle to have the water pump belt and serpentine belt replaced, customer provided aftermarket belts, technician replaced both belts.
Customer was made aware that the tensioners were defective prior to replacement of belts, she responded replace belts only as she did not have money to replace
tensioners. As a result, the belts were torn by the bad tensioners. Customer was called by ****** ***** and ****** ****** several times to pick up vehicle without response.
Several voicemails were left. Customer has not paid for any of prior repairs. Vehicle and key are here but not drivable. At this point vehicle would need to be towed out.
If vehicle is removed within 72 hrs. no repair fees nor storage fees will be charged.Review from Karen J

I purchased a 2024 *** **** on 5/27/24. My Check Engine light came on on 8/9/24. I took it to Clay Cooley Kia of Irving's ****************** on 8/10/2024. *******, my service *** texted me her info if I needed anything. Knowing they wouldn't look at my car until the following Monday, I remained patient. I found some drops of oil in my garage where I parked the *** and I called ******* on 8/15. She informed me that she would have them check for an oil leak and she would call me back the same day. I didn't receive a call back. I called ***'s ************* first thing on Monday 8/19. ******* explained what the problem was and that the car was ready. I let her know that I don't get off work until 8 p.m. She said that was no problem because I could pick up the car anytime before 9p. She told me this more than once! I had planned on picking up the car before 8/23 because I had to move my son out of town for a new job. But I couldn't get to the dealership before 9 the entire week. I let ******* know I would be picking the car up earlier on Saturday 8/24 but I didn't leave early. I didn't think that was a problem because I knew I'd be in Irving before p p.m. She didn't say it had to be before the service **** closed. I was NEVER TOLD THAT I NEEDED TO PICK MY CAR UP BEFORE THE SERVICE **** CLOSES to be able to get it!!! All I was told was that it would be out front if I came after the ************* was closed, and that I could pick it up before 9 p.m.! I don't work for ***! So, I am very displeased with the Clay Cooley Kia ************* and will never buy another ***! Not only did my NEW vehicle have a mechanical problem when it was less than 3 months old, Clay Cooley Kia did not have a loner car during the entire process! Then not to be able to get my vehicle when I needed has ruined *** in my eyes! I had a wonderful sales experience at Clay *********************** But I wouldn't recommend buying a *** to anyone! Especially from this dealership! This has been a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!Review from JuanCarlos P

First off I loved my 2023 Kia ********* The issue is I had someone rear end me back in beginning of March and we are going on June soon and still no word on when the specific car parts will be delivered for repairs and I am getting my car worked on at the Clay ********************** ***********************. I am still expected to pay a car note monthly but with NO car and NO information on when the car parts will be in. I loved the service thus far but if I still dont get a word back, I am highly considering contacting an attorney. Please future shoppers ask about wait time on your Kia **** parts before purchasing!Review from Bis L

Bait and switch pricing. Manager was rude and arrogant to us. This is joke to the customer service. Not sure why management is not seeing. Manager said I was being p***y cause I wasnt falling into his bait and switch pricing. This business either should be shut down or that management need to fire the manager ASAP.Review from Felicia Q

I ve left my car at clay Cooley KIA in Irving for the evaluation on 06/13/2023because of the light noise on the driver side , my car has been there for 10 days, ive been calling several times for the first week , no one could tell the status of my car , on one of the call it put my on hold for almost an hour until i hung up and dialed again then somebody answered but he put me on hold again and i just gave up and hung up.Few minutes later the supervisor ( *****************************) texted me and he said they looked the car on 06/16 /2023 ( 3 days after i dropped my car) but they still dont know whats the problem. So i told him that i would have to pick up my car because i need it , he said : so its covered under warranty if we can complete the work, If you decline to do so its $154.95 and yes im ******.This is sounds ridiculous to me, i wont pay that amount , so i decided to have more patience and wait for the update ( my car still in that dealership as i write this) .I texted again today but still no answer although the supervisor said he would give me the up date . Is it game that Clay cooley KIA doing to earn money from their customers, let them leave the car for long time and when the customer feel frustrated with the car they could just say oh yeah you leave the car in our property so here is the bill, imagine $154.95 multiply say 50 cars in a week = ****** In a month??Review from Uri T

Terrible Service Manager and Service Center. This company left my engine components disassembled and placed inside my trunk after they took a month on so called diagnostic tests claiming to have only 1 hybrid tech qualified to work on those type vehicles. I spent $4400 on repairs with it being in their possession for 2 months only to need an additional $12,000 in repairs 1 week and 3 days after my initial service. Disappointment is an understatement. I have pictures and videos to prove it...Review from LaDena M

I dropped my vehicle off at Clay Cooley February 28, 2023 and they have has my vehicle going on 7 weeks. I'm now in the month of April without a loaner car or a true status on where they are with fixing my car. I've spoken to several managers including Al Hipolito, who is the rudest person I have encountered throughout this process. I have spent hundreds of dollars on Ubers without any type of accommodations at all from Clay Cooley Kia. The only person who seemed to give me any hope was Dawson ******** who told me he could have me in a loaner tomorrow. After speaking to Dawnson and him relaying to me that he had to get this cleared with his manager Al, I believed Clay Cooley was on the right path to making me a happy customer. Several minutes later Al told me there was nothing he could do and for me to sit back and wait while he gathered more data. Please keep in mind my vehicle has only 60,000 miles currently and my motor has gone out. Thankfully I have a 100,000 mile warranty that protects my motor. I keep impeccable service records that I have provided to Clay Cooley Kia. My warranty has been approved even though the 1st time they submitted the information they did it under the incorrect name. I've requested on several occasions for consistent follow up on the status in which I'm only told “these things take time. “ Every time I'm the one who has to reach out and they have yet to even start working on my vehicle. I'm in the same place I started 7 weeks ago. This is the most horrible experience that I have ever had with a car dealership. I'm writing this review as a buyer beware of Clay Cooley Kia. I don't want anyone else to experience the type of treatment I'm experiencing from this car dealership. I'm not sure if this is an isolated incident to Clay Cooley Kia Irving or Kia as a whole. I will provide updates as the process unfolds.Review from Cindy M

DO NOT BUY FROM CLAY COOLEY KIA IRVING - HERE'S WHY. I made a verbal appointment with ******* at Kia ********************** this past Saturday at 9:00 a.m. to test drive an EV6. His response was that he would have the keys available and ready to test drive. Upon arrival at 9:00, I found he was in a meeting. After 30 minutes, three loudspeaker notifications from the receptionist for, "*******, you have a customer waiting", and two text from me, he did not respond. While he was in the meeting, the IT guy quickly ushered me into *******'s office to gather my information which had included my interest in the EV6 and Telluride, as well as my interest in not purchasing that day because my granddaughter was arriving at 9:30 and that I had to be available to pick her up then. When his meeting was over around 9:35, he walked out and brushed off his delay as if the delay was not a big deal. He wanted me to follow him into his office, but I told him that I shared my info with the IT guy previously. He then proceeded into his office, reviewed my statement and when he returned his response was shocking to say the least, and had said, "If you are not buying the EV6 TODAY, the door out is behind you", and he turned around and walked away. I was appalled by his response especially since I am a paying customer and VERY interested in purchasing a **** but just not that day. Afterwards, his managers approached me and listened to my complaint but never once were they willing to make the situation better. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT INTO A CLAY ********************** DEALERSHIP AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND OTHERS DO NOT AS WELL.Clay Cooley Kia Response

My name is Joe F********, I am the General Manager at Clay Cooley Kia. I am truly sorry about your experience at my store. We are the #1 store in the district in volume and #1 in the district in customer satisfaction. But unfortunately csi, customer satisfaction, only scores customers that purchased vehicles from us. I t does not score customers that did not purchase a vehicle from us. I really appreciate your feedback and value your opinion as a customer.
Sorry again for the experienceCustomer Response

As I had mentioned at the time, I was interested in purchasing one of two choices 1) EV6, or 2) Telluride. I specifically wanted to test drive the EV6 because I had already driven the Telluride. I was told that I could not test drive the EV6 that morning when my apt was to specifically test drive that vehicle. And when I would not commit to purchase that morning, your so called Salesman, ******** ******* showed me the door out. Your 2.0 rating only goes to show that you do not put your customers first. Too bad, because you lost an easy $55,0000 cash sell!!!! I will never step foot in your facility and highly recommend other customers do not as well.Review from Jonathan C

I have never had such bad experience in my life while trying to get my car fixed. *** Has put my family in danger and given us instructions that are not safe. My wife 2019 *** optima keeps loosing oil, I have called several times about this and Clay ********************** told me that my wife and 3 year old son, had to drive the 2019 optima until the motor blown, locked up, or started nocking. I refused to put my wife and kid in this type of danger so I got Clay Cooley Kia to allow me to drop off the vehicle to get the vehicle looked at. They told me that the motor needed to be replaced, and that it would be covered. 2 weeks later Clay ********************** calls me and lets me know that now I have to come pick up the car, and take to another Kia *********** and start an oil consumption test, this means take off 2 more 1/2 days from work, not to mention the 2 weeks that i have been without a car and working a modified schedule which makes it difficult to pay bills. I am blown away at how this process has been. I dont want any money or anything i just want my vehicle fixed. I now have to figure out how to get my vehicle picked up and dropped off at ***************. I want this fixed! I want my wife and kid to be safe! You would think that *** would be better at customer service, and not this process. ******** ****Review from Elsy P

This dealership doesn't even deserve a rating. We went in to buy my daughter's first car and unfortunate total disappointment and scam. We had been waiting for several months for the car we were interested in. When they finally called us to let us know that they had the car after several hours waiting we were informed the car had just been sold and weren't aware of it. The General Manager then came over and informed us that we could do a deal with another car in the interim as he didn't want us to wait longer. Once the other car arrived they would just "swap" with the new one. We went on with the deal and after one month we were informed that the car was not there yet but we could hold it. The new deal was nothing as what we were informed when we got the car. The car value was decreased and therefore creating an unexpected balance as they added the upside amount to the value. We were never informed of this in the beginning and now we are stuck with an unwanted car, very unhappy customers and really bad first car experience. Unfortunately we trusted this dealership as we had purchased a few cars there. General Manager Joe F********/Clay Cooley are dishonest with their customers. And they could care less to lose a customer.
