Hired Pro-refrigeration LLC to repair a sub-zero refrigerator and a wine refrigerator at a residential location. Office Admin was onsite with the Tech for a maximum of 1 hour. The tech looked at both units and recommended the filter on the sub-zero be replaced. He was able to get the fan to turn on the wine fridge and claimed it was cooling. The admin mentioned we may need to set a future appointment for them to look at our office ice maker. Later that day, the tech showed up unexpectantly at the office to look at the ice maker. I received an estimate to replace the ice maker and an invoice for **** hours of work totaling $829! The tech was attended by the admin and definitely did NOT work **** hours. We also have **************. We contacted the company to let them know there was a billing error. Then we get a call threatening collections despite our questions on the **** hours. I followed up with an email regarding the **** hours and the fact that all 3 units are neither diagnosed or repaired at this time. The invoice was "adjusted" to $580. We are still not sure what the issue is with the ice maker because there was no real diagnosis. The sub-zero was still not working and the filter was not the issue at all. As it turns out the sub-zero heater on the ice dispenser door needs to be repaired and I will hire another technician to complete the work. The wine fridge does not work and we do not know what is wrong with it so I will have to hire another technician to diagnose and repair this machine. There was no real diagnosis given for the office ice maker; the tech claims it is dirty but I can assure you the interior components are clean. There is some old corrosion of the exterior components which has been cleaned as clean as it gets by a previous tech and those parts do not affect function. We do have a leak and the motherboard was beeping. I would need to hire another tech to diagnose this one as well. As it stands I am confused as to what the $580 is for.
