I would give 0 stars if possible. This warranty company decided to send an investigator out after computer diagnostics revealed the issue was the vvt solenoids. The car was towed to the mechanic on a Wednesday. Thursday afternoon the investigator appears and stated in his report 4 days later computer diagnostics is wrong. He states the issue is a bad crankshaft sensor. This sensor is replaced, and unsurprising the car is still not fixed diagnostics reveal again the same code bad vvt solenoids. This company actually wanted to send another investigator. The mechanic went back and forth finally this company would approve the solenoid replacement upon a video showing the diagnostics being performed. This company held up repair on my car for a full 10 days. My deductible with this company is supposed to be $100 for any claim. I had to pay over $400 to get my car fixed. It seems the company won't pay for frivolous work demanded by their investigators. I had to pay for the investigators ineptitude. So wrong on so many levels. Run from this company. Would leave a 0 if possible. The worst run around and unprofessional place I have ever dealt with. I have been without a vehicle for a month, it took over 2 weeks for them to get back to me for repairs, and then another two weeks of ghosting calls from myself and the dealership with no approval for repairs. They approved the timing chain and according to the dealership it needs a new oil pump otherwise it will break again in a matter of weeks due to not lining up. They will not cover a new oil pump because there is nothing wrong with the current one. When I asked if they will cover it if it breaks they said no because they covered the timing chain once already. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Nothing but a run a round and waste of money.Review from Harry B

I was very happy with my service this time. Everything was done timely and efficiently. In a previous claim, it took too long for an inspection to be done. But overall I am happy with the company and its service.Review from RICHARD P

Terrible service, exploitative and even fraudulent. Unnecessary delays, while the company attempted to avoid paying for repairs specifically spelled out in the contract. I will think twice about purchasing another warranty policy with this firm. I thought I was purchasing the warranty from AAA, but apparently not.... Something is not right here. The Maryland State's ************************* should be apprised of this arrangement--it's almost like dealing with a bunch of Nigerian fraudsters! The entire experience was horrible, time-consuming and unnecessarily expensive, as I still had to pay a substantial sum to free my vehicle from the repair shop. I will think twice about purchasing another such policy from this firm. A bad deal all around!!!! NO STARS AT ALL!!!!Review from Courtney B

My name is ***************************. I'm from *********. I purchased a service agreement contract with the Obligor being Ownershield. I received many marketing letters for an extended service agreement from the dealership I purchased my vehicle from in Nov. 2020. I went ahead and gave them a call and purchased an agreement because it appeared to be a great idea. I had no issues with my vehicle at the time and it was functioning properly. Even though my contract was still new, I had unexpected vehicle issues. They have denied my claim with no proof and lied about their plan not covering air springs nor the head gaskets. They also appear not to be telling the whole truth about the inspection report. I hired a private investigator and kept record of all conversations, located the inspector who recommended the air strut be replaced because the air springs located inside the strut failed and will not hold air over time. They also claim pre-existing conditions. I filed a dispute with the Louisiana ************************** I will file a complaint with the BBB. I got a statement from the inspector (One Guard Inspections), and certified mechanics report, and will take it to the next level in necessary. My vehicle is still sitting at the dealership. It's been 31 days since I filed the initial claim on April 18, 2024. I do not recommend this company.Ownershield Response

I would give this warranty service a zero star I could I purchased a warranty with the dealership that I bought the truck from, but the warranty they provide doesnt cover the current hourly rate for a service technician. If you get this warranty expect to have to pay out-of-pocket for the difference. Fortunately, for me the dealership honored the warranty and took care of the difference for me, but I have to drive an hour and a half to stewardship to get this discount. Most hourly rates at a certified diesel mechanic is over $200 an hour. This warranty only covers up $160 an hour. Buyer beware.Ownershield Response
