Sept 7, 2022, ***** from Lite it up electric arrived to my home to fix a bedroom ceiling fan that has a very loud distinctive irritating noise/sound. ***** seemed annoyed that I asked him to put a face mask on, ( I was wearing one) and to put on shoe covers that I provided to protect my floors. When he entered the bedroom and turned the fan on, it made a huge loud train like noise. He stated, wow its loud. I told him even with music playing you can still hear that terrible sound and that you cant sleep in the room if using the fan. I asked him if he could fix it. He said no, it needs replacing. He said he would go to his truck and write it up, and for me not to worry, the motor was going bad when it sounds like that. He sat in his truck about 8 minutes. Came back to my front door and gave me a copy of his report. It states: Ceiling fan upstairs bedroom is making loud buzzing noise. Would need to be replaced. Also light kit has 2&4 light option. He told me it might take about a week but he would call to schedule the new install later. I didnt hear back so I called him 1 week. No response. I called my insurance company who sent him out. They told me he had written there wasnt anything mechanical wrong so they werent going to replace it. Well, the sound that it makes isnt suppose to hum like that and he lied and he even wrote that it needs replacing. Ins paid him my $75 to come out and fix my ceiling fan. He didnt even attempt to. He didnt remove a screw, had no tools, didnt go to get any tools. Only flipped the switch and proceeded to tell me he couldnt fix it, even though in the very beginning, I told him 2 years ago, another electrician came and took it apart and fixed it, but I guess it didnt last. He said, no worries as we were walking up the stairs.He should not have been paid my $75 service fee because he didnt fix it, he didnt try to fix it, he wrote it up as needing replacing on my form but sent to insurance something else.Hes a **************
