After missing two appointments the repairman appears days later offering to fix our Touchless Water faucet that my wife had called about. The repairman spend a few minutes and determined that he did not have the necessary parts to repair our system. I offered to order what was needed and he suggested that we order the Control box ,Install Kit and Battery Box, which I did from *********** I was asked to call them back once the parts had arrived and he would come out to complete the repairs. Total time 15 minutes charge $170.00. When the parts arrived last week, I called and was immediately "advised" that there would be an additional $170.00 charge. I protested and explained that I had paid that amount already and NOTHING WAS REPAIRED. I then decided that I could either do it myself or get a more honest plumber. Since I had order everything NEW to set up the system i knew I could do it. As I read through the documents that came with the parts, It stated to check the Battery Box first , which I did. After replacing the 4 AA batteries, everything started working with the exception of the hot water. Upon further inspection it was discovered that the plumber had left the Ht water turned off since he had broken the valve lever. When I returned the unnecessary and unused parts t *********** I picked up a new Hot Water Valve lever and now everything works perfectly. I feel that since no actual repairs were performed as well no real diagnostics performed, I am owed a refund of my money plus the cost of the damaged hot water lever.I am elderly and wonder if this is a common Practice.
